Duck Tape!! No Way!!

I am on a roll this morning!!! I got out of bed.

Now to stay on 'that roll' and start getting some things done today. That is the challenge.

Another challenge is coming up with my My Random Five Friday entries .

Number 1.
I really enjoyed the falling snow yesterday. The ground was too warm for it to stick but we had it coming down about two hours. What a beautiful sight that would have been if it had been colder.

Number 2.
I haven't seen a blue jay in my yard in years. But, there he was yesterday. Guess the snow 'brung' him in!

Number 3.
They say that duck tape can be used for 'everything'. I sure was surprised when my podiatrist told me to use it on my foot following her digging a wart out of the bottom of my foot. I have no idea why it helps.. I just hope it does.

Number 4.
Everyone needs a change occasionally in their lives. I think I am due one.

Number 5.
My usual 'blast from the past random five'. I won 'Homemaker of the Year' in our county at the annual Extension Homemakers banquet. I still have the plaque. Not so much into homemaking these days, though. Time changes everything.

  1. I have had doctors suggest duct tape for warts before. Said it was the chemical composition of the tape that helped. Hope it helps yours.

  5. I have heard about duct tape on warts. Hope it helps! Duct tape is supposed to be a wonder. :-)

That blue jay is so pretty!

We didn't get snow down here. I was so disappointed. Two more "clippers" are supposed to pass through tonight and tomorrow night, but not much, if any, snow expected.

My mother was in the extension club. She loved it!

  7. I enjoyed this fun post! Of course I can see you winning Homemaker of the year. It's a snow day here with no school.

  8. How neat that you won the Homemaker's award. I was in an extension homemakers club years and years ago. Never won anything.
I hadn't heard about the duck tape used for warts. Hope you foot is feeling better.

  9. Duct Tape? Wow! That's amazing!
I've seen a few blue jays around my yard this winter which is unusual because usually I see none!

  11. Who would have thought that duck tape has another use as a bandaid?

  12. I'm glad to learn that tip about the duct tape. Let us know if it helps.

How nice to be honored as homemaker of the year! I don't do much as I should to "keep house". I just keep it clean enough not to get condemned. Haha! I get big ideas, but they never seem to take off. I've got scrapbooks of things to try, but the real fun is collecting the ideas!

    Have a nice weekend!

  13. My mom cooked so much when we were growing up -- now she prefers to eat out or eat something pre-cooked from the freezer. Times do indeed change!

  14. I'm all about the duct tape. Sad to admit it, but I get a kick out of new ways to use it.

I had never heard that one before, though.

  16. Why am I not surprised that you were awarded "Homemaker of the Year"?

We have a few blue jays but NO CARDINALS THIS YEAR! We are so sad. We can not understand it. Our neighbors have said they have no cardinals either.

    Well, have a wonderful week!

  18. Besides sparrows there is nothing around here for the moment, and snow is far away, it's officially winter but not really.

  19. Here's hoping that your next snow sticks as well as your duct tape !:)

  20. hmmm....very interesting about the duct tape. I hope it works. I don't think there has been an award for home maker of the in quite a few years.

  21. Our Blue Jays chase all the Cardinals away. While I like having them around they can be somewhat of a bully. I too have heard of duct tape for warts.

  23. Hope the duct tape helps, but I wonder how hard it will be to remove it, Latane. Did your dr. offer any suggestions?
