  11. I like everything about this picture except the beach towel. The waves and sky are gorgeous as is the umbrella. The towel doesn't look like its laying down. Just may take.

    1. Oh, I agree with you 100%, Marcia. Wish i hadn't added the towel. Gotta practice on making things lie down! hehe

  13. Lovely little scene, almost makes me wish I was there, relaxing and listening to the ocean waves crash on the shore.

  14. Received three of the four Rick Bragg books I ordered---spent late afternoon and way into the night immersed in "All Over but the Shoutin." Chris and I love a quiet evening in our easy chairs, our lamps picking out our spots in the room and all silent except for my turning pages and his little finger-scribes on the NOOK screen.

This is quite a book---and so many, many of the moments mirror my own childhood, though in a much closer-to-the-bone fashion, and I'm absolutely blown away by his words and phrases. it's like meeting a faraway person who speaks your language.

Thank you for mentioning this incomparably-talented writer---I'm so grateful for the opportunity to experience the word-craft and wonder of his epic talent.
