I certainly sympathize with all the people in the mid-west and farther west... where crops are drying up and cattle can't be fed.... where forests are so dry fire consumes everything in it's path. My son's lawn (in Nebraska) has deep crevasses running through the brown grass for rain hasn't fell in over 3 weeks. It just seems that Nature has a way of giving too much to some folks, not enough to others.
However, God is in control. We have to trust His judgment and count our blessings. Pick up your umbrella, walk out into the liquid sunshine, pick up a friend... and go for a stroll. Feel God's blessings pouring down.
Yes, and we will probable get more as Isaac whirls thru! Have a cozy day inside!
ReplyDeleteSweet blog, we got some rain today.
ReplyDeleteWeather..... so unpredictable. I pray for rain in our drought area, but then I say..... but not too much. Guess we're never satisfied.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
I, too, have thought of folks in the midwest, who desperately need this rain. Since Saturday morning, we've had 5 1/2 inches, and some areas near us have had more.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the good of Hurricane Isaac will be some rain for folks who need it.
Too much vs. not enough. I'm not sure which is worse. Right now, though, we could certainly use much more than we have received!
ReplyDeletethankfully Florida has been one of the areas that has received a goodly amount of rain this summer! I never begrudge a rain day...especially when I've seen and heard about some of the horrendous dryness in areas of the USA! and the world! prayers for those in need!
ReplyDeleteThe drought, believe it or not, is even in AZ....it is so widespread. But, we have to keep our thoughts on our blessings, and know that the rain will surely come in time! Nice post!
