I hope you enjoy your cat! They can be so cute and entertaining. I used to love cats and we always had cats at home whe I was young. They stayed outside all the time. When I became a widow, my son thought I should have a dog for company, but I saw it as trouble and inconvenience. I remember tending to 'his' dogs when he went away to college. I remember the Vet bills for a broken leg that finally had to be amputated. I remember who had to 'walk' the dog when he needed to go out. All of that is too painful for me to consider getting a pet. We like to be free to go without having to board our animals while we are gone. I'm too old for pets, but to each his own.

Hi Latane, We are thinking about getting a cat. Forgot they were nocturnal! Are you happy you got the kitty or do you have any regrets? We are unsure.
