HALLOWEEN FUN

I am not sure what all this post will be about. I still have pictures of my trip to West Va. to post and then Halloween came along and I have barns, fences, flowers. My photo file for my blog is pretty full. But, here goes... bear with me.

First I have to tell you about Halloween. I was not going to do Halloween this year. Then I heard that a certain little great-grandson would be trick or treating so how could I not. So, I bought a ton of candy (I swear I did not eat but 3 pieces and they were little!!) and I sat at my door waiting for the deluge to come. And, come it did.

About 250 kids but my favorite was a wee cowboy.... bet you can guess who that was!!

After I had passed out the very last tootsie roll and sucker I closed the door, turned out the light (and kids were still coming, gotta buy more candy next year) ... I traipsed over to the Halloween house at my daughters. Everyone loves to trick or treat at their house and I knew they had cheese balls and chili waiting for me! Here's my daughter (she has Shirley Anne's Bake Shop so naturally she dressed as a chef)

The two year old great grand was in a costume contest at the Air and Space Museum and came in second, dressed as a fisherman. Oh, his great grandpa would have loved that!!

The Fall wreath on my back door.

A bird sitting on my scarecrow.

The beautiful Autumn leaves near my home.

See you all again soon.

  8. Wow---you had alot of kids at Halloween... We live in a mostly-retirement community --so we don't get any kids here. I sorta miss that --so I love seeing the kids all dressed up on others' blogs... I did love that little cowboy... How sweet!!!!!

    Hugs,
