A Flea Market on our way to the beach!!

Last Sunday dau. Shirley and I headed to Nags Head (N. C,) for a week of scrapbooking with a bunch of girlfriends. Unfortunately the weather was chilly and the first few days rainy so we spent that time just cropping and pasting pictures in our albums.

On the way down we saw a flea market and of course, had to stop. Notice the 'MOONSHINE' sign! Wonder if that is what drew us to the market? Nah... and we didn't even see any.

We saw so many interesting things.

Tents were set up next to a diner

and the 'gravedigger' monster truck place.

There were animals in permanent pens...
donkeys

a pot bellied pig

turkeys

and even some guineas running around loose.

And look at this bird house!! Quite colorful, isn't it? Wonder if the birds worry about that sort of thing?

I had no idea the monster trucks were so BIG... That is dau. Shirley underneath it. How would you like to change one of THOSE tires?

and a cute little green barn sat at the end of the driveway.

All we bought was a jar of body scrub for each of us. We were freezing so we ran to the warm car and headed on down the road. A week of fun lay ahead of us.

I just had to join Barn Charm what with that cute barn to show off.

  8. Wow, what a fun time on the way to the coast - and Shirley was a lot braver than I - under that monster truck AND smiling!!!!

Love Nags Head but have to admit I've never really had good weather on my visits either.

Know you had fun though just doing 'girly stuff' with loved ones.
