Sick For Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is over. The son and his wife came up from Alabama to be with me and his sister and family next door. It was a great visit. But, wouldn't you know it!! I got a sinus infection and was sick the entire visit. Bummer, big time.

I waved goodbye this morning and crawled back into bed. This cough will not go away!!
                                                Anyone with any suggestions?

Yes, I went to the dr.

                                                          Yes, I took a Z pack

Yes, I am on Muscinex DM.

                                                                     Now what?

  1. Hi Latane......Just a suggestion - could you call the doc back and ask for something stronger for the cough? I have done that before and they have given me codeine just for a few days to get back on track.

  2. Latane, I'm so sorry to hear you're sick. I just got over (about a month) of the same thing plus my daughter's family (a couple of states away) all have it, as well as several bloggers I follow. I still have a sinus infection, but raw vinegar helped as a decongestant (I mixed mine with raw honey.. both antibiotics) and Vicks for my chest cough helped to ease the symptoms. Whatever this illness is, everyone seems to be experiencing the same symptoms and takes about a month to run it's course. Sure hope you feel better soon. I'll be thinking of you. Gammy/Tammy

  5. Echinacea?
    Thieves?

I hate when people get sick just when the good stuff is about to happen. Hope that you feel better soon!

  7. So sorry you are not feeling well.
Knock on wood, but I haven't been sick yet. It would be nice to have a whole winter without sickness!
My only advice is take your meds, drink lots of liquids and rest a lot. Praying that you feel better soon!

  8. I'm sorry you've been sick. Coughs tend to hang on to me, too, because I have asthma. If you don't feel better soon, I'd call the doctor back.

  10. I agree with Vicks VapoRub on your chest, too. It clears the airways and helps one to feel better. Eucalyptus cough drops are a staple around here. Hope you feel better soon!
