Now to join Nancy over at Random Five Friday and catch up with all the goings on there. You should, too. You'll love it. Since I am going to be gone for my regular hook up with Nancy's meme I am going to go ahead and post this today (Thursday).
Will hook up with her when I get home tomorrow.
1. Wednesday night's temperature hit a record low. It's nearly April, weatherman. Can't you do better than that?
2. My little 3 year old great-grandson made me some 'frige art in play school. Since I quilt, he made his Gigi a quilt for my refrigerator. How cute is that!!
4. Why do people buy so much stuff? They think they have to have it but later on it's a problem to deal with. Maybe we should all be like the Japanese who live very frugally and use their money to travel on. Great idea.
5. My 'blast from the past' random is this............
My Mom's birthday was March 5th. She passed away in 1996 at the age of 92. I miss her so much.
Awesome post! LOVE that sweet little Q is for Quilt picture! ADORABLE!!!! Love the shot of you and Grandmother too. I think about her a lot.
ReplyDeletei love your refrigerator quilt! that couch looks pretty uncomfortable to me too...my couch is comfy but the thing i don't like about it is the back of it is big poofy cushions that aren't attached and they start to sag down making it not so comfy at times...i'm constantly having to pull them out and fluff them...ahh well...love your blast from the past photo...have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThat little quilt picture is so adorable....!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, Latane!
HI, there, yes, i agree, I will take April showers over snow any day!
ReplyDeleteHave a grand weekend!
How sweet to have that quilt art from your great grandson on your fridge where you can see it every day. Love!
ReplyDeleteOh my-I love that you get fridge art and can't wait for my grandson to make me some!! ( he's only 10wks old so I have some time!) good luck on your couch hunting.
ReplyDeleteChildren's art is always so fun to look at and cherish. As for the couch, it is so difficult to find good furniture these days, no long built to last but mad to be replaced often. Hoe you find something you be comfortable in.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt, how sweet! Finding the "perfect" couch is a tough task. Add another person (who prefers a recliner) and it is next to impossible.
ReplyDeleteCatching up on a few R5F entries.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute quilt art piece your grandson made.
Interesting couch but I don't think I would like that one either. I like a firm cushion but not leather as you stick to those.
It is hard when loved one's birthdays roll around and they aren't there to celebrate with anymore. It was a nice picture of your mom though.
