I just had to share some more beach pictures with all of you. Right this minute we are experiencing bad weather in Suffolk. Surely makes you want to see the sun, sand and surf. Perhaps this will suffice.
The steam pot of clams, crab legs, shrimp, corn and potatoes that Grandson Christopher made for us one night. Each person or couple took a night to fix dinner. That worked very well. And, I do love steamed shrimp!! Not so much the clams. Just saying.
The house the family had for the week. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our vacation.
This crab was not one bit happy at being caught.
5 month old great-grandson enjoying the float in the pool. He certainly looks happy, doesn't he?
Yes, I did wade in the surf. But, man, was that water COLD!!!
Son-in-law John made huge bubbles for the little boys to chase. This one got away and floated high in the sky.
My daughter and granddaughter.
One last look at the ocean!
Have a happy weekend!
I sure enjoyed seeing your last three posts or so. Nags Head was always a must see place to visit when we lived in Virginia. These make me a little homesick for old times sake. :)
ReplyDeleteI actually thought of you when we visited Chesapeake a couple of weeks ago. Hope you've settled into your new home comfortably.
Looks like you had good weather at the beach. How nice to be included in your children's vacations.
ReplyDeleteWhatever clams you don't eat, I'd be sure to devour! I've loved seeing your photos - what a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteSuch great pictures. Such a beautiful family, too. You're a lucky lady.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wondeful vacation with lots of memories, Latane. And, yes he is a very happy baby!
ReplyDeleteHi Latane, the house and beach look fabulous and a blue sky to boot! I actually thought the first photo was a seaside collection for some art project, definitely looks good enough to eat although I don't 'do' shell fish!
ReplyDeleteA lovely family holiday to remember
HI Latane, All of your pictures are fantastic. I absolutely love the one of your daughter and granddaughter!!!.....so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! What an attractive family!
ReplyDeleteSOOOO fabulous! Reminds me so much of that trip we made ages ago, renting that house on the beach. It was awesome...celebrated Michael's birthday too. Lots of great memories! You got some great photos, Mom, and you can tell how much fun you were having! Seeing John chuckle at you over finding the water so cold was nice. I miss everyone. That shot of Shirley & B...great! They look wonderful! And the baby....so sweet!
ReplyDeleteLoved all your comments. You didn't get back to the Mother's Day one :-) It's in Older Posts because it's been so long. :-) Glad you had a chance to do some commenting. I'd been hoping you would. Love you lots! Oh, and that's a great header!!!!
Oh, my, that G-grandbaby is adorable and your granddaughter is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou are having WAY too much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures and blog post! Enjoy!
Hello There, We just got home from a great week--which was a terrific 'healing' experience for me --as I recover from gallbladder surgery followed by that wicked infection... You'll have to check out my blog post today (if you haven't done so yet).
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed keeping up with you and the family ALSO at the beach---just north of where we were. Looks like you all had a great time.
Happy Memorial Day to you and yours... Let's never forget those men and women (past and present) who were/are in the Armed Forces and have done so much to give us the FREEDOM we have today. God Bless ALL of them and God Bless the USA.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh how fun for you to have this vacation. That looks like a great place you stayed at. I love the ocean even if it is cold in the waves.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely vacation spot! Beautiful family you have there.
