Up, up and away.... to Rye, New York. I flew up on the 19th and arrived back home yesterday, the 29th. Ten days of pure bliss... visiting with my daughter and enjoying my grandsons. Nothing can beat sweet hugs and kisses!! No matter how old the giver is... or the recipient!!
First let me tell you about the snow. It's been a mild winter in Virginia and in New York, as well. I get there the night of the 19th and on the 21st it started snowing and snowed all day. Beautiful magic, the world covered in white. Why does the world sound so much more silent when there is snow on the ground? It's almost as if God blanketed us in the white fluffy stuff just so we would stop and listen and observe.
the little birds flocked to the feeder, hungry and cold.
and the boys, big and little, got bundled up to go outside to enjoy the wonderland.
Even, Oodie, the Llewellen Setter, was happy playing in the snow!!
Meanwhile.... back at the ranch.... I tackle a chore, cleaning dust off a dried flower arrangement, tiny stroke of a brush, petal by petal..
More on my trip in a day or two.............
love your snow photos...hugs and kisses are the best aren't they!!!
