What a co-incident ... as I am winding up my alphabet posts, the letter V just happened to land on Valentine's Day. Well, I helped it a tad by not doing it on Monday like I usually do. Let us see what Vs I have up my sleeve.
There's bound to be a Valentine........ one of the several I received as a child. Poor little doggie... he's lost his tail!!
Two sweethearts framed by a Valentine....
Our middle daughter in her wedding Veil.
Elbert eating wild strawberries atop Mt. Equinox in Vermont.
Creeping Vinca blooming in our yard in Virginia.
My African Violets.
The Virginia Diner - one of my favorite places to eat.
And, I end with a bit of nostalgia.... V Mail from World War II written to me by a friend.
Hi dear Latane - thanks for this really cute V post on Valentine's Day. You found some wonderful photos to share with us.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs - Mary
That's a lot of interesting V's! I like the old valentine, the sweethearts and the V-mail. I remember V-mail that was sent during WWII, but didn't save any of it:-(
ReplyDeleteso many memories in your "Vs"...such an adorable card from when you were a child and you and your sweetie so romantic!
ReplyDeleteOh, how well that worked out!!! Neat post. Loved the Valentine from your childhood, and you and Dad in that sweet embrace inside the other!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, Latane! Your middle daughter is beautiful! She looks so pretty. And ...the valentine with you and Elbert is wonderful...two sweethearts in love. I have so enjoyed your alphabet pictures. Thank you so much.

ReplyDeleteYour daughter is beautiful...
Hugs,
Hi Latane, It's so nice to meet you. I have followed Marie for awhile and love her blog posts. I do think she misses Virginia though --but is doing what she needs to do. She has such a wonderful attitude...
ReplyDeleteLove your "V" words... Perfect timing, huh?????I'm so sorry to read about your husband's horrible illness and death. That has to be the hardest thing in the world---to see the mind of a loved one disappear... So very very sad.
Sounds like you are doing great though... I love quilts but am not talented in that area. However, I have several and LOVE them. I also inherited an old one in my mother's family. That one is very special...
Come back to my blog anytime and I'll return to yours.
Hugs and God Bless You,
Betsy
It's really nice to read your articles. With the photos. You in New York etc.
ReplyDeleteThank you and I wish you the best.
