Our World Smells Good

You just gotta love living in a town that smells like peanut butter cookies!! That's MY WORLD

Come along and I'll show you what I mean. This is one of the several peanut packing plants and shops in our little bitty town.

Inside you find shelves and shelves of all sorts of peanuts... plain, roasted, salted, chocolate covered, jalepeno, cajun, sugar coated, peanut brittle, you name it...it's there!!

Here is my daughter of Shirley Anne's Bake Shop fame. She'd been asked to bake peanut butter cupcakes with all sorts of goodies inside for the Plantation Peanut owner's birthday.

This display gives you a chance to taste the flavors. Notice the Virginia ham hanging on the door facing.

This decorative can is huge!! With two different kinds of peanut treats.

More good stuff to sample. The Razzle Dazzle party mix originated by Plantation Peanuts and my granddaughter, who was working there at the time, helped decide on the ingredients.

So many decisions to make. Hey, I think I will have one of each, please.

There are gifts to purchase. These dishes have a crab design in keeping with our nearby beach location.

Even regional wines. The scuppornog wine is mighty tasty. Don't know what scuppornogs are? They are wild white grapes.

Hope you enjoyed this visit in my favorite peanut shop in Wakefield, Va. You saw something you'd love to taste. Just click on this link http://www.plantationpeanuts.net/and order you some.

No, I do not have any financial interest in this shop. I just know how good the peanuts are.

  1. So does the town really have the peanut fragrance all the time? I always wondered where those Virginia peanuts came from and now I know.

I love peanuts, peanut butter.... anything peanut. I'm sure glad I'm not allergic to nuts.
