Up, up and away...
How we have changed our way of travel since the windy day the Wright Brothers flew a small craft a few feet at Kitty Hawk, N. C.
I would like to share with you some photos from over the years of
JETs. I am
JOYFULLY linking with
ABC Wednesday. I am curious to see what the posts will be about since the letter J is this weeks focus. Not a lot of words start with the letter J. Why don't you
JUMP over to that link and see for yourself.

My first flight was in 1966 when I flew to visit my hubby in Tech School when he was in the Air Force. I remember walking out to the tarmac and walking up the steps. You are so right, flight has changed so dramatically.
ReplyDeleteI really like the picture taken above Michigan. The clouds look so nice, I just want to rest on top of them. My first flight was not until I was 23. That was in 2008
ReplyDeleteYou make it look SO much better than air flight is these days!

Jet flight has certainly made the world a smaller place

Wonderful post and photos for J ~ enjoy ^_^
ReplyDeleteI used to find it so exciting to fly but not so much now. Now it is more just a means of getting somewhere in a short amount of time.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
Great thought for the letter "J"!
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever!
i enjoy flying, especially during take off--makes me sleepy.:p love your photo of the wing tip and clouds.
ReplyDeleteJ is for...
Great shots! I find it difficult sitting so long in a plane, but it's worth it in the long run.

Great post, Latane. Yes--jet travel has really changed through the years.. I haven't been on an airplane too many times since we prefer to drive. However, when going out of the country, flying is the only way to go....
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these photos with us.
Hugs,
Betsy
Great shots of jets. Such a good idea for J. Carver, ABC Wed. Team
ReplyDeleteNice pictures of the clouds...and I love your new header picture!!
ReplyDeleteNice post! And cleverly worded, I might add! :-) I ought to see what I can come up with for K and join in next week...let's see.
ReplyDeleteHappy First Day of Spring to you Latane!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that I love planes, watching them in the sky is still thrilling to me...but flying in them not so much!!! I first flew when I was 5 or 6. A 2nd cousin had a Piper Cub and one year when our family reunion was at his family's house...he took my sister and I up. I was too young to think about the danger :D And then when the Korean War was on the jets (from an Army post near us) used to fly at tree top level following the river behind our house. You could see the pilot and read all the ID numbers on the plane...exciting to a kid.
Good choice for J! I hope you will continue finding the words belonging to the letter of the week!

Your post reminds me of the very first flight I took in 2003, I was so nervous lol.
