Memorial Day Doings

Today is garbage pick up day and I am so happy that my son-in-law put the can out on the sidewalk for me.  Sometimes you just can't measure happiness because it comes in such small packages.

Talk about happiness. There's nothing better than being invited to a Memorial Day picnic when you expect to spend the day at home alone. Thanks, Granddaughter B.B.

The company was nice, the food great and there's always fun around when there is a 2 year old to entertain you.

I took potato salad. And, there were hotdogs, barbeque, mini hamburgers, pasta salad, cheese and macaroni and much more. With all that food it's no wonder I had troublesome worries on my mind after I went to bed last night. To read about that click HERE.

Everyone chowed down and enjoyed themselves.

dau Sh, ggson D and I played an unusual game of cornhole. I'd try to throw the bag over the top of D's head to hit the hole. He'd grin and duck to keep from being hit. He loved it and so did I.

The day before I had gone to the cemetery to visit Elbert's grave.

I hope that all of you had sweet, family time yesterday and remembered those who gave their lives so that we may be free.

  1. Hi Latane, Sounds like you had a great Memorial Day. We did too --although we enjoyed a nice, quiet day at home... We cooked some steaks on the grill which were wonderful..

Hope you have a great week.
    Hugs,

  2. Hello Latane, It is good to hear you had a wonderful day with family. Your potato salad looks absolutely delicious. I have been craving a potato salad for about two weeks now. Guess I had better get to it and make one.

Had surgery last week on a trigger thumb on my right hand........ Been staying pretty quiet. Bandages come off Thursday and then therapy....after that comes the potato salad.

  4. It looks like you had a nice day with family--those are the best! We went to a Memorial Day service here in town that was nice tribute to those who died for our country.
