October already? My gosh... where did summer go?
I always thought my favorite season was spring but I've decided I like Fall the best. The air is cooler after a hot summer, there's color everywhere, the scent of cinnamon, pumpkin, apples and cider fill the senses. Oh yes, Fall is it!!
I was just remembering a trip our youngest daughter took me and Elbert on one year... to Vermont in the Fall and we stopped at this pumpkin patch. Memories are great things. I am glad I have pictures to help me recall some of the exciting things I have done in my life.
I am seeing a lot of goldenrod alongside the road these days. I've always loved the feathery blossoms of that plant. People say it gives you 'hay fever' but I was glad to read that ragweed is the culprit not this beautiful flower.
The birds are already hard at work picking seeds off this dried out sunflower. More power to them. They have to eat, too.
Kids can be sooooo cute. I don't know who this little fellow was but he sure made my day playing peek-a-boo with me at Hardees one day.
Yep, I open the bun (warm, of course), spread on a little mustard, catsup and relish. Then I slather on a good dollop of mayonnaise. Yep, mayonnaise!!!! Add some chopped onion. Then I put the weiner on top so that it holds all that slippery stuff in place. And, yum, yum.
You all head on over to Nancy's Random Five and see what everyone else has posted. I had fun doing mine. I hope you had fun reading them.
