#1. Why do we get so worked up over things that we can't change? I gave too much thought to having a molar pulled yesterday. Today I am saying "That was a piece of cake". all that worry for nothing. I must remember this when I start to fret over life's little challenges.
#2. I met with my editor yesterday for a nice lunch. She'd finished editing my manuscript and was almost ready to hand it over to me. I got the impression that she enjoyed it a lot and was reluctant to see the project go. She said she wanted to read more and I told her "Don't hold your breath! There will be no sequel". But... hmm... who knows.
#4. I just found an app for my smartphone so that I can create a post on blogger, save it and then when I am away from home I can post it to my blog. How cool is that?
#5. My Random Five Memory:
In the 1970s I took an art class in college from a wonderful artist, London Bridges. I was already in my early 40s, surrounded by talented young students, but it was me that Ms. Bridges chose to paint the vegetable cart for the college play production of "Hello Dolly." Sure wish that was in color!
Isn't that always the way life is - the worry about things is always worse than the actual experience :-)
ReplyDeletePiece of cake eh:) I like that attitude. Congrats on your manuscript. Love to see that photo in colour also. B
ReplyDeleteGreat art work on the vegetables!!!!I had a tooth pulled and worried so much. You are right. It was a "piece of cake". Those are the words I used to my kids when they wanted to know how it was. I can not wait for your book to come out! I am really excited to read it. I will be one of your biggest fans. I already am, aren't I?
ReplyDeleteI am with ya on the tooth pulling. I had a wisdom tooth and the one in front pulled and was scared to death. I have heard so many horror stories! I came out just fine. I was not even in any pain or even felt any afterwards. If anything I felt violated with the dentist all up in my lap pulling that tooth.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the manuscript! Let us know when we can read the book.
ReplyDeleteI am glad for you that the tooth was a piece of cake...the last time I had to have one pulled I was sent to someone else because they said the way my roots were they could cause a real mess...it scared me so bad. Ended up was fine.
ReplyDeleteWhat have I missed...are you writing a book? And if so, are you saying what it is about?
I know what you mean about the dentist, they sure have come a long way. I had to have a root canal a couple of months ago and it was done in an hour! My wisdoms took 4 hours years ago!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great memory you have and I'm so glad you share them (your memories) with us!

ReplyDeleteCongrats. on the book. The vegetable cart is awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat news your book adventure is nearly finished. What an experience. Congratulations. Can't wait for Spring, myself :) On the plus side, all this snow has forced me to finish up some unfinished sewing projects around here.
ReplyDeleteGlad your molar didn't give you as much trouble as you thought it might. Nice paint work, I, too, would love to have seen it in color. Glad things are moving along well with your book!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that the dental appointment went easily for you. My son tells me that one piece of advice I gave him when he was little is one he still remembers: usually dreading something is worse than the actual event! Glad that was the case for you.
ReplyDeleteInterested in reading the book and congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to stay away from the dentist lately, caps always having to be the case with me.
happy sunday
betsy
Glad your tooth extraction was no big deal. I can't wait to hear how the other book-checker's comments compare to mine. That will be interesting. Hope she hands it back over to you soon.
