April is Autism Awareness Month

Just a quick post this Saturday morning. I've been so busy with my move that April has sort of come and went without me noticing. I can't let it slip away completely without mentioning that
                                       April is Autism Awareness Month.

My grandson, Owen, has Autism. I won't lie and say that it has been easy any of the time but life is full of challenges and caring for him has been one of those challenges. But, the blessings that he has given us every single day of his 21 years make the trials and tribulations pale in comparison. He's an amazing young man and I love him dearly.

I hope you will take time to learn more about autism. You are going to have someone in your family, a friend, someone you run across that has autism so learn all you can so that you can reap the blessings from just knowing that person. You will truly be blessed.

  1. Thanks for posting about this. We all need to be aware and concerned for our young people. Enjoy your weekend my friend! Hugs!

  2. So good of you to remind us all about the Awareness campaign. Hope all is going well with the move. What a busy time.

  3. It is so good to see your grandson again! He is a fine , good looking young man. I know you are very proud of him. I did know this was Autism month....but I love to read when you write about your grandson. There is love in your heart, for sure.

Good luck with the move. I have been thinking of you.

  4. FABULOUS post, Mom! I am so glad you posted this!

I hope you will visit often and leave a comment when you do. My blogging friends always put a smile on my face.
