My goodness, but life is buzzing around Main Street these days. My quick decision to move was the right one but I don't think I anticipated all the work involved. But, I will get there. You'll see.
Friday means Random Five Friday . I certainly should have five random entries today. Go over to Nancy's meme and check out all the ones there.
#1. I got the keys to my apartment on Thursday.
#2. So, I started moving in a few items today. SIL John did some inspections for me and some measuring. He's just the best SIL ever.
#3. I love the view from my balcony. I'm thinking I am going to spend a lot of time out there. I'm on the third floor so I feel very safe and I can 'look down on the world around me'. Don't you agree I have a nice view?
#4. Quilters have a lot of fabric. There's just something about fabric that you have buy more and more. And, when you move what do you do with it? Offer it to friends at your quilt bee, that's what.
#5. My Random from the Past...
In another time, on another move. I was moving from Alabama to California so that the family could be together after my husband's deployment overseas. We stopped at the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. That's my son crawling through an opening in an ancient Indian dwelling.

Will the move mean no more quilting? Your view is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour view is quite nice. Also nice that you have a great SIL to help out.
ReplyDeleteOh that is a perfect view you are going to be so contented there. Love the last photo. B
ReplyDeleteA great view, lovely for an early cup of coffee in the morning.
ReplyDeleteThe new digs look great...what a view! You'll be quite happy there. Love your attitude, Latane. Having moved recently, I know what kinds of work are involved, an it can be overwhelming at times, but you'll be fine with your positivity....Lee and I used to say to each other, "We'll eat this elephant one bite at a time" :)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting, Latane, your new home looks lovely and I so agree on all the work involved in moving...packing and unpacking.

ReplyDeletei just love your new place and i think you will be very happy here...and yes, that is a great view!! i love the old photo...my grandparents spent a lot of time in that area! they had some petrified rocks that i used to love to look at!
ReplyDeletecongrats to you on the move! looks like a really pretty place with a view!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Mom! It's happening! I know you are excited. I do love your view! I have to go outside on my back porch and look over the fence to see the mountains. I don't just see them out of one of my windows. That cul de sac where the firemen were exercising is my view out front. :-) It's generally very boring to look at. :-) I do enjoy the birds when they are in my front yard, and what little I can do out back with flowers & veggies. Anyway, I'm so happy you are safe up on the third floor too. You will sleep well at night. It's going to be so much fun decorating your new place!
ReplyDeleteyour new apartment looks great. lovin' that view from the balcony. i agree you'll be outside on the balcony most days. hope you enjoy your new place for many years... have a great weekend~
ReplyDeleteLatane, I am so happy that you are happy about your move. I can see Jim and I doing the same thing. We talk about it now. Your apt. looks great and I know you will love it when you put your "stamp" on it!

ReplyDeleteLovely view!
ReplyDeleteMany years ago when my husband and I moved to Virginia we bought our first home in Suffolk. Lived there about five years and later moved to Chesapeake but only about five miles from the Suffolk city line where we stayed for over 30 years until we retired. Many blessings to you.
What an exciting adventure! LOVE LOVE LOVE your view!
ReplyDeleteMany blessings to you in your new home!
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing you the very best with your move. The view is perfect! I would stay out there all the time! And how sweet of you to share your fabric. Enjoy your week and show us more photos when you can! Hugs, Diane

ReplyDeleteBest wishes on your move. It will be a lot of work, but I know you can do it!
ReplyDeleteGreat sons-in-law are a blessing. #5, boys will be boys! I can see my grandson (about that age) doing the same thing. Hope to get caught up, still moving files from my old computer--that's when I found this unread post. Hope you are enjoying your new home!
