Marching down life's path.

Just a bit of this and that, so I can join in with Willy-Nilly Friday

1. I found out that I can walk farther than I thought I could. Photo taken yesterday in Colonial Williamsburg where a person can walk a LOT.... Maybe we should have done the carriage ride.

2. Happy to have found chair exercises on tv. (a local channel) I'm pumped about that!

3. Herman, the Blue Heron, that frequents our pond worried me yesterday. He spent hours sitting under the fountain spray. I thought he might be sick, or stuck but then again he might have been just taking a shower... who knows. He's back out there again this morning.

4. I have on occasion run into people like this. Just makes you wonder where they were when brains were passed out!

5. In the past I have posted old pictures for my #5 entry. Think I will do that again this morning.
Yes, I did play a trombone in my high school band. It was a fun time for me. We marched at the football games, entered a completion or two, marched in the American Legion Parade in Philadelphia and visited D. C. and New York during that trip. I won't trade it for anything.

  1. The carriage in Williamsburg is wonderful. My wife and I went there at Christmas time...beautiful. I played the string bass and had a heck of a time marching with it. Tom The Backroads Traveller

  3. Mom, this was awesome! Love the carriage ride photo. Have a huge laugh over the aerobics class. Great post! I wonder why that bird is staying under the spray so much?! It's cute that you named him Herman! You should hook in to Anni's Bird d'Pot with that one! Just connect the whole post. People don't care if there's other stuff on there. :-) Oh, and look at my Willy Nilly. I posted after you did and didn't put my name--DUH! Just said This Week! Anyway, and check out that video link on Tanya's too. So uplifting! I noticed you hadn't commented on Tanya's yet. Looks like if you ever get out a bit west again, you should check out that Huckabee's!

  9. I haven't been in a long time, but Colonial Williamsburg is one of my favorite places to visit. I agree, lots of walking. Love the old photo. My granddaughter plays clarinet in her school marching band. Lots of fun watching her.

  10. Oh....sweet, sweet photo of you with our band uniform. I LOVE it.

Yep, we all have come across 'those' kinds of people. But, still, your cartoon clip made me giggle.

Love the photo of the heron under the fountain spray.
