A Mural

I've had these pictures for some time, just waiting until the right moment to use them.

It looks like today is the day.

Go over to Monday Murals to see a bunch of other murals from around the world.

This building is in Suffolk, Va. This is what is on one side. The painter is part of the mural, as well.

On the other side........

A close-up

and another close-up

  2. I LOVE murals come upon unexpectedly, whether they portray the history of a town, with a huge train engine flying past the perfectly-drawn stores of main street, or the one that's on the side of a set of shops on our way to our favorite restaurant.

The little "strip mall" has a dry cleaner, a vacuum store, and a frame shop, among others, and I get such joy from seeing the jaunty vacuums dancing with dresses on hangers, and the picture frames flying overhead.

How charming this post was today---just had to chime in to say so.

  5. Oh, those are excellent. I imagine it's a good way for a sign shop to show they can paint.

  10. What a great advertisement for this business. I must admit that I wasn't sure in the painter on a ladder was part of the umages or not. Thanks for the explanation, Latane.
