Good, Random Fun.

In all the hustle and bustle of us getting ready for Christmas (and believe you me, I am hustling this morning) hehe... sitting here at the computer, I am. But, I will get busy. I promise.

Remember the old tv show and they would say 'It's Howdy Doody time'?  Well, this morning it is blog time and I will say 'GOOD RANDOM FUN ' time. It's also time to post a MURAL

How about it? Will you join me? Oh, come on! Won't take but a minute.

GOOD.......... the feeling I got last night during a Christmas performance at church. Things like that put you in the right thought process for what Christmas is all about.

RANDOM..... One day I was wandering around the farmer's market in Smithfield. I came upon this beautiful dog and just had to take it's picture. Of course, I don't remember which breed she is, nor what her name is. But, isn't she gorgeous?

FUN.......I love finding unexpected little or large works of art in the most unusual places.
                                                              This one is LARGE.
It covers the side of a building in Smithfield, Va. where Smithfield hams and bacon come from.
Ta Da.....Hence, the pig farm mural.

So, now I am off to do some last minute Christmas shopping. See you back here real soon.

  1. Latane,

I also got your comment on my most recent post....BUT I have been waiting since Friday for you to comment on my Willy Nilly post and the LINK to my piece-fulness post. You often miss my Willy Nilly posts (and don't seem to be participating as much anymore either) and they are often things I most want you to see. I also am anxious for you to see all that sewing and crocheting, etc. I've been up to!!!! So, please scroll back and visit those two posts.

  6. That is a beautiful dog! The pig murals are nice, I haven't seen those yet.

  7. I love it when towns memorialize what life is like (or was). Nice capture. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  8. Happy shopping, Latane! I was thinking of you!
We're settling in on an ice rain day! We don't do too much over Christmas.

  9. Latane,

I thank you so much for your sweet comments on LAWN TEA! This is my second try today, for my comment on your book below came back in my e-mail as undeliverable, though I'd just posted it on this comment spot.

In case you didn't get it:

What a happy, fulfilling day! You are so lovely and stylish, and your BOOK
is simply so elegant and beautiful---as my Mammaw used to say, you must
have just busted ALL your buttons! I'm behind on everybody's doings this
fall, and just hadn't gotten in on the excitement of your great
accomplishment. I cannot imagine how it must feel to have folks lining up
    to BUY your WORDS.

I did have my entire blog printed back in October, all six years so far,
and just to hold those beautiful, colourful volumes in my hands and know
they're solid and real---isn't that absolutely amazing?

I just stepped in to say thank you for dropping in at LAWN TEA, and am now
off to claim a copy of my own. This is so exciting---I know an AUTHOR! What
thrilling times these must be, and if ANYBODY can claim to be busy, it must
be you. I've heard what a whirlwind that is when you've published a book.
    Oh, well. I can dream.

What a joyous, dream-come-true day---simply splendid all round.

  10. Very neat mural- and that dog is beautiful..someone really has done a lot of work on that coat!

I hope you will visit often and leave a comment when you do. My blogging friends always put a smile on my face.
