A Visit to Smithfield.

I thought I'd drop by and spend a little bit of time with some of my favorite people. It's a beautiful morning. Hope it is whereever you are.

I had a lovely lunch with a friend in one of my favorite restaurants in one of my favorite town just the other day.

We ate at The Bakery in Smithfield.

I just love that little town.. so quaint, so charming, so tourist friendly. And, they preserve their history. That's a plus big time.

Just let me show you some of the cute buildings there. I know you will fall in love with it like I have.

I love this bed and breakfast. Wouldn't you just love to spend a week there? Okay, you don't have a week... How about a night?

The charming entrance.

This sweet wall decor is one boundary of the outdoor seating at the Smithfield Inn.
Just sit, eat and enjoy.

The entrance to a little shop.

The roof line of one of the houses.

One cute little balcony.
And, just look at the street light!

This is the second floor balcony of a pet shop. You can't really tell from that distance but right in the center is a huge bird cage and the day I saw it, it was filled with happy birds catching some sun.

Now, don't you just love this place, too?
Come visit. I will show you around.

  7. What a gorgeous bed and breakfast this is. The house looks like it has so much character and charm. How nice that you had lunch with your friend there. I went to one many years ago, and it was by the ocean.

Have a good rest of the week.

  8. I love this little town, too, Latane. We almost bought a house there instead of across the river. We would have had a little bit of a view of the creek from the kitchen. When we looked at the house, the sun was setting over the water....a very enticing feature :) We'd go over to the Farmers' Mkt several times last summer. I'm a big fan of Rogue Elephants iced coffee. Mmmmm
