Last Look at Edenton

It's time to 'wind down' my and Leslie's trip to Edenton. In my last post you saw the converted tobacco pack house bed and breakfast where we stayed.

As I have stated, it was hot so when the temperatures cooled enough we enjoyed the porch.

This is that long, long porch. I was playing 'cutesy' and peeking around one of the post at Leslie who was taking the picture.

This bench rather intrigued us. It is very old and was possibly an old church pew.

The rocking chairs were so comfy. I love a good rocking chair.
note the tobacco drying basket behind me.

But, then, the swing was a big draw. We just tried them all.

While the two main houses of the inn faced the main street, The Pack House faced a side street. This was the view from the porch.

The outdoor seating at The Table, the restaurant which is onsite. It was next to the Pack House.
I hope that next time I go, it will be cooler so we can eat out here.

The fire escape in the back of the Proprietor's House. It was so unusual that I just had to take a picture. note the yellow fire hydrant at the base of it. Real handy.

and so, this ends the wonderful birthday get-away that Leslie and I had. I hope you enjoyed your little glimpse of Edenton. I want to go back soon.

Stay cool,

  4. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all had front porches like that and could shout out to our neighbors? We did in our old neighborhood.

I like the photos, particularly the spiral staircase, though I wouldn't want to climb it in all the rain we in Atlanta :)
Happy 4th, Latane - appreciate you stopping by!
    Peace :)
