Dance While You Can

It has been a long while since I did a "Growing Old Gracefully" post. Too busy just growing old, I guess!!

I ran across this graphic recently and loved it.

So, today I want to encourage you to do your best dancing in your 'older' years. It may not be on a crowded dance floor. It could be just you, all by yourself, twirling around your living room, your favorite music playing

                                                                      BUT....DANCE!
It's good for the body and it's good for the soul.

Here are some of my dance moves in my later years and I guarantee not a single one of them got me arrested. Now, maybe those in my living room would!! But, thank the good Lord, noone caught me at it. Hehe

Dancing with my grandson at his wedding.

The Congo or maybe it was the Bunny Hop. I can't remember!

One of our last dances

Dancing with another grandson. Grandsons make great dance partners.

I hope to hear about your dancing adventures, Go ahead.... do it.

  4. Your dancing photos brought a smile to my face today.
We've just returned from a weekend wedding where I had my first dance with my grandson (he's 2). I would be thrilled to still be dancing with him when he is the ages of your grandsons. How fun!

  5. I loved seeing your photos, Latane! I used to love to dance, but ole Twinkle Toes doesn't like to, so I seldom get to dance. I just content myself with listening to some good music and dancing by myself! Shhh...don't tell anyone. :)

  6. GREAT photos of such good memories!!! I can't dance a bit because I have absolutely NO sense of rhythm! I do good yoga poses, though!

  14. Yes, dancing is the best. My daughter owns a dance studio so dancing has always been a part of my life. My sweetie and I loved to dance. I need to go turn on the music and dance!!
