Funny Friday

For Willy Nilly Friday and Five On Friday.

1. I been feeling mighty poorly the last couple days. Not sick, just OLD. Must be the weather, but to tell you the truth it might just be a case of reality. Leslie and I aren't getting any younger, you know. That's for sure. I just love this picture that a friend took of us..... don't you?

2. It's hard to keep up with technology, being this old cuss that I am. I mean, the youngsters come outta the womb texting somebody!! Least it seems that way to me. The story below could very well have come out of my mouth.

                                                                                                                                                                                         POOR FLY

3. Back in the day when mail was sent from door to door, or across the country by a real mailman, ever so often you'd get a chain letter in the mailbox. It would read that if you didn't do what it said something bad would happen to you. Of course, technology just had to keep up... and now we get chain letters emailed to us, or worse still on Facebook.

Don't you?

4. I reckon the buzzards are trying to tell me something. They have all taken up position on top of the cell tower near the pond. That way they can keep an eye on me!!

5. Now, on a more serious note (and reverting back to school days).  I was just shocked one day when I was looking on Classmates.com at an old school annual (one of the years I was actually in school) and found me pictured on one of the pages. Doggone, if I wasn't the secretary of the Future Teachers Of America! And, I'd totally forgotten all about it. Well, that just goes to show, the mind is the first thing to go. hehe.
I'm the one behind the globe... the one with the black tie.

You all take care.
Have fun this weekend.
Stay warm.
And, come back to see me whenever you can.

  5. The photo of the buzzards is great, I'm sure, they have a non-digital message for you :-)
I haven't a cellphone, Iphone or other things (cannot work with them and I'm not very interested to learn it) and my mother has subscribed an oldfashioned newspaper and gives it to me after reading - I like to feel the paper and to smell the print-tint... hope, our newwspaper will never die!
Have a nice weekend and a little sunshine

  16. Mom!!!! I LOVE the yearbook photo of you and your other Future Teachers of America! :-) Oh my gosh, you look absolutely adorable. You can sure see why Dad fell in love with you! Hey, quit feeling OLD! You are one of the youngest 82 year olds on this planet! Laughed a lot during this post...cute cute chuckle about the ipad and that shot of the two old people dolls. I have a photo on pinterest of a headstone that says "Died From Not Passing on That Email." :-)
