How you all doing? It's Friday and that's a great day for all you workers 'cause you get the next two days off. But, me? Every day is just about the same around this household. Sometimes I even forget what day it is...
But, today is Friday and time for Willy Nilly Friday, Five on Friday, Fun Friday Favorites and Friday's Hunt.
1. I am so happy it is strawberry time. I have been eating 'tons' of them in all sorts of dishes. Yumm.
This is R for red ripe strawberries to link with Friday's Hunt.

2. I take a lot of pictures... you know how it is.... some turn out and then others quickly become favorites. This is one of my favorites. it's the bell tower at Brookwood Gardens.
3. Although pollen makes me sick every spring, I love the textures of the sharp pine needles against the soft, spiny blossoms nestled therein.
4. I saw a hummingbird zoom by my balcony just the other day!!
this picture was taken from last year.. and yes, I will be getting more pictures when those little stinkers settle down to stay.
5. If you had a million dollars I wonder what you would do with it? Just wondering. Not that it will ever happen but nice to think about.
wonderful photos latane! if i had a million dollars i'd buy a nice size piece of land and build each of my kids a house on it...although i don't think a mill would cover that these days! thank you so much for linking latane and have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeletei am trying to remember where you live, i am getting ready to plant my strawberries. your favorite image is my favorite image, but i really like the pine needles image as well.
ReplyDeletemy husband invested very wisely over the years, we have several of those, several pieces of valuable income property and it changes nothing. my home is modest, 32 years old, my car 10 years old...i don't live any different than anyone else. i don't have to worry and that is really the one big advantage for me!!!
have a wonderful weekend!!!!
Had to smile at your what day is it remarks. Everyday has become Saturday to me since retiring. The strawberries look delicious.
ReplyDeleteStrawberries, wonderful, lucky you. The bell tower is lovely, and that's a fantastic shot of a hummingbird, I'd love to see one one day. In fact if I had a million dollars I'd take my son on an exotic birdwatching holiday so that he could see some too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a Bright, Breezy post this Friday morning! I especially love the picture of the old bell---we have an immense one in our back garden, with the words "December, 1941" to show its birthday. I've always thought that it must have been one of the last ones struck before WWII, for there were only five work-days that month before Pearl Harbor, and they quickly turned all the metal-works into defense supplies.
ReplyDeleteAnd didn't you always wonder what you'd do if John Beresford Tipton sent an envelope your way?

Great shot of that hummer! I have trouble capturing any bird in flight! :-) Love the bell tower shot too, and the pine. Can't wait to see more now that you have a full-blown spring and are "over" your pollen issues (are we ever completely OVER them! Sorry I hadn't been in touch...will be emailing in a while. Love you!
ReplyDeleteFantastic capture of a hovering hummingbird! I have never achieved this. (I sometimes forget what day it is, too. Yikes!) A million dollars? I hope that I would be generous, but oh it would certainly remove a lot of stress or is that the other way around?)
ReplyDeleteNice lovely photos, cute hummingbird. Strawberry time? So early? I cannot wait...
ReplyDeleteA million dollars? I would buy a house by the sea and a car for alldays life. And at first eyeglasses... I see: it isn't not enough for my wishes ;-)
In Germany at sunday all the shops are closed, so I know: it's sunday (since I'm retired).
Enjoy the strawberry time
Wonderful photos! Oh, I so wish we had hummingbirds. And just look at those strawberries! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Have a lovely weekend!
PS The Mail Delivery system tells me every time that my message can't be delivered to your email. I hope you notice my comment anyway! :)
DeleteLovely photos! The bell tower is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe strawberries are looking good, a little early for us yet. I would buy a house on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland if I had a million dollars, it is a dream of ours to live there one day.
ReplyDeletelove the bell and the Spanish Moss, how do humming birds move so quickly?
ReplyDeleteI love to watch the hummingbirds jet around! They are not back here yet! i am watching for them!
ReplyDeleteGood things to think about! If I had a million dollars - which would be less in pounds of course - I am not sure what I would do, but it would be mainly spent on our home I would imagine and then the rest saved. Not very thrilling hey! What about you? Thank you for joining Five On Friday, I hope you have a fun weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I love the hummingbird one.
ReplyDeleteWhat would I do with a million dollars? I'd definitely give money to both my Mum and my husbands Mum and Dad. Trusts for the kids. Donate some money for charity. Buy a house in England. It would be great to be able to live both there and here (in America). My heart is torn as my hubby and kids are here and my Mum, sisters and their families are in England!
It is indeed strawberry time, we're enjoying ours too. Really like the bell tower.
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have Ripe Strawberries already. It's probably at least a month off here for the local berries.
ReplyDeleteNeat shot of the Bell Tower.
How fun to spot a hummingbird. I saw one fly by quickly a couple of weeks ago. I bought a feeder but as yet haven't seen any land to partake.
Your strawberries are ripening and they look so sweet and juicy. Love the bell tower and the humming bird too. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful photos! LOVE the bell tower and hummingbird images!
ReplyDeleteStrawberries already, how fantastic! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the bell tower, but the strawberries are so bright and look delicious. The pine shot is really well done as is the little hummer. If I win a million dollars...I would definitely set up a company of some sort--of course, after I have travelled myself silly!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post! I agree, being retired some days run into the other!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture of the delightful little humming bird!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Great pictures. Love the humming bird. We have some that flit around here, but I am never fast enough to take a picture of them.
ReplyDeleteLove the strawberries, yum! We lost quite a few plants over the winter, so we won't have many this year. Love the shot of the hummer! If I won a million dollars, I would start up a humane society in our county. There is such a need for one.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
I loved reading the beginning of your post as I too sometimes forget what day it is! Your photos are stunning. My strawberries are not doing so well and I'm thinking it may be the variety. I will wait and see. Have a wonderful week, Pat xx
ReplyDeleteThe Hummingbird image is SUPERB
ReplyDeleteHi There, Glad to catch up with you.. Loved the tea set you sent to Marie... Such a treasure!
ReplyDeleteYes--I know about pictures... For every 10 I take, I usually use ONE.... ha... Yours are great!
Love the little hummingbird. Haven't seen any here yet..
Happy May Day... I'll publish a blog post tomorrow.
Hugs,
Betsy
Thank you so much for joining Friday's Hunt. Those strawberries do look yummy! I hear you with the allergies. Great capture of the hummingbird. I really need to get some feeders out (for all the birds).
ReplyDeleteHi Latane, I really enjoyed your Friday's Hunt post. Your pictures are beautiful. I especially enjoyed the Red Ripe Strawberries, they looked yummy and that was just a beautiful photo. I'm looking forward to your next Friday's Hunt post. Sincerely, Rose
