Friday Fives and Hunt

How you all doing? It's Friday and that's a great day for all you workers 'cause you get the next two days off. But, me?  Every day is just about the same around this household. Sometimes I even forget what day it is...

But, today is Friday and time for Willy Nilly FridayFive on FridayFun Friday Favorites and Friday's Hunt

1. I am so happy it is strawberry time. I have been eating 'tons' of them in all sorts of dishes. Yumm.
This is R for red ripe strawberries to link with Friday's Hunt.

2. I take a lot of pictures... you know how it is.... some turn out and then others quickly become favorites. This is one of my favorites.  it's the bell tower at Brookwood Gardens.

3. Although pollen makes me sick every spring, I love the textures of the sharp pine needles against the soft, spiny blossoms nestled therein.

4. I saw a hummingbird zoom by my balcony just the other day!!
this picture was taken from last year.. and yes, I will be getting more pictures when those little stinkers settle down to stay.

5. If you had a million dollars I wonder what you would do with it? Just wondering. Not that it will ever happen but nice to think about.

  1. wonderful photos latane! if i had a million dollars i'd buy a nice size piece of land and build each of my kids a house on it...although i don't think a mill would cover that these days! thank you so much for linking latane and have a great weekend!!

  2. i am trying to remember where you live, i am getting ready to plant my strawberries. your favorite image is my favorite image, but i really like the pine needles image as well.

my husband invested very wisely over the years, we have several of those, several pieces of valuable income property and it changes nothing. my home is modest, 32 years old, my car 10 years old...i don't live any different than anyone else. i don't have to worry and that is really the one big advantage for me!!!

    have a wonderful weekend!!!!

  4. Strawberries, wonderful, lucky you. The bell tower is lovely, and that's a fantastic shot of a hummingbird, I'd love to see one one day. In fact if I had a million dollars I'd take my son on an exotic birdwatching holiday so that he could see some too.

  5. What a Bright, Breezy post this Friday morning! I especially love the picture of the old bell---we have an immense one in our back garden, with the words "December, 1941" to show its birthday. I've always thought that it must have been one of the last ones struck before WWII, for there were only five work-days that month before Pearl Harbor, and they quickly turned all the metal-works into defense supplies.

And didn't you always wonder what you'd do if John Beresford Tipton sent an envelope your way?

  6. Great shot of that hummer! I have trouble capturing any bird in flight! :-) Love the bell tower shot too, and the pine. Can't wait to see more now that you have a full-blown spring and are "over" your pollen issues (are we ever completely OVER them! Sorry I hadn't been in touch...will be emailing in a while. Love you!

  7. Fantastic capture of a hovering hummingbird! I have never achieved this. (I sometimes forget what day it is, too. Yikes!) A million dollars? I hope that I would be generous, but oh it would certainly remove a lot of stress or is that the other way around?)

  8. Nice lovely photos, cute hummingbird. Strawberry time? So early? I cannot wait...
A million dollars? I would buy a house by the sea and a car for alldays life. And at first eyeglasses... I see: it isn't not enough for my wishes ;-)
In Germany at sunday all the shops are closed, so I know: it's sunday (since I'm retired).
    Enjoy the strawberry time

  11. The strawberries are looking good, a little early for us yet. I would buy a house on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland if I had a million dollars, it is a dream of ours to live there one day.

  14. Good things to think about! If I had a million dollars - which would be less in pounds of course - I am not sure what I would do, but it would be mainly spent on our home I would imagine and then the rest saved. Not very thrilling hey! What about you? Thank you for joining Five On Friday, I hope you have a fun weekend! xx

  15. Beautiful pictures. I love the hummingbird one.

What would I do with a million dollars? I'd definitely give money to both my Mum and my husbands Mum and Dad. Trusts for the kids. Donate some money for charity. Buy a house in England. It would be great to be able to live both there and here (in America). My heart is torn as my hubby and kids are here and my Mum, sisters and their families are in England!

  17. Lucky you to have Ripe Strawberries already. It's probably at least a month off here for the local berries.
Neat shot of the Bell Tower.
How fun to spot a hummingbird. I saw one fly by quickly a couple of weeks ago. I bought a feeder but as yet haven't seen any land to partake.

  21. Love the bell tower, but the strawberries are so bright and look delicious. The pine shot is really well done as is the little hummer. If I win a million dollars...I would definitely set up a company of some sort--of course, after I have travelled myself silly!

  25. Love the strawberries, yum! We lost quite a few plants over the winter, so we won't have many this year. Love the shot of the hummer! If I won a million dollars, I would start up a humane society in our county. There is such a need for one.
    Have a nice weekend!
