Buttoned

Michael MacVean chose 'buttoned' for his weekly theme at Scribble Picnic.  That was a challenge for me. I do better with themes that are nouns like plate, tree, book, bird.

But, buttoned!! So, I thought and thought. I don't do people and they use buttons. I thought about the phase 'button your lip' but that didn't work. So, here is what I came up with.

Both were done with colored pencils.

and yes, I did try a person!

  1. Well, my goodness ... you went all out. I think both are excellent and your little hedgehog is the cutest. Your purple scarf steals the show though ... almost made me forget about the buttons :)

  3. Both excellent! The hedgehog is fun. Definitely works (both of them) for "buttoned."

  10. Good job on drawing the person (and also the critter)... I shy away from trying to draw people very often also!

  15. Fabulous Latane - you definitely went above and beyond with this week's theme, it was hard.
I love hoggies as we nickname them in the UK - and have a friend there who is a hedgehog rescuer.

  16. That little hedgehog is just too cute. Makes me want to go splash around in some puddles in the rain this afternoon! Happy PPF (I'm catching up a bit late).
