No,? Well, me neither.
I'll just watch that white, peaceful world out my window and thank God for such beauty.
I have a lot to share with you this morning but since I am linking to the Friday Five meme, I guess I had better keep it in rein. Right? Here are five of my favorite pictures of our 2018 snow blizzard.
#1. I made me a bowl of snow cream and I ate the whole thing! Man, was my mouth cold! Have you ever had snow cream? Just mix snow (good clean stuff), sugar, vanilla and milk. Try it sometime.
#2. Looking out my dining room window are the parking lot. It will be awhile before I get out in that mess. But, it sure is pretty to look at.
#3. The flower pots on my balcony are all decorated for winter now. Poor ole geraniums. Guess they are gone!
#4. It is so cold here. I know... I am going to get flack from those people up north where it really gets cold but for here... it's cold. At 9 this morning it was 15 degrees. going down to 6 degrees tonight with wind chill factor below zero. Those water pipes in my apartment have been dripping for several nights now.
#5. I've saved the best for last. I am so proud of this picture and so you will probably see it again when I link with the bird memes later on. My heron flew in for a bit of fishing!
Believe me, I was not out in that snow when I took this... it is from my balcony!
I am linking with Willy Nilly Friday Five
Yes, if we get snow, we make Snow Cream. Delicious! But no snow here yet this winter.
ReplyDeleteLove the Eeyore quote, and the Heron is beautiful!
Have a great day, but stay inside where it is warm!
Where I live we don't get enough snow for snow cream ... sounds delightful! Love the heron and the Eeyore quote is spot on. Eeyore is one of my favorite philosophers...!! Happy New Year! Stay warm.
ReplyDelete...what is this? I thought that you lived south of the Mason-Dixon Line, stay warm.
ReplyDeleteWow, you got snow! So beautiful...and thephoto of the heron is my favorite. Never had a snow cream, reminds me of the movie "Snow cake"

All the best Jan
Wow! Latane, the heron is amazing and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBe certain to stay warm. . . . . . . and keep the taps dripping, we are doing that too! So cold.
It has been years since I had snow cream...but I think I did make it for my girls. And it was good! Poor GBH...having to fish in this cold.
ReplyDeleteYou took a great picture of the Heron! And I like the Eeeyore quote too.
ReplyDeleteThat's about how cold it is here, but we don't have much snow. I love the Eeyore quote.
ReplyDeleteI make snow ice cream every single time we get snow - which is not that often! I use fresh snow, a can of sweetened condensed milk and vanilla! I freeze whatever we don’t eat. Back in the day, all the neighborhood kids knew to co,e up here because I would make ice cream for them!
ReplyDeleteIt’s been COLD in Texas! Not like in the north but cold to us! My Summer Dee is in New York City and was scheduled to come home today. After the snow storm, it will now be asunday before they can fly out
Have never heard of snow cream. Great photos and as always a favorite heron.
ReplyDeleteYou should be proud of that heron shot!
ReplyDeleteOh what an awesome fun post! So happy you are enjoying the snow! Your heron photo is AMAZING! And I love the Eyeore quote! :-) Because Cane is here, I haven't been on my computer much...plus, though I could have posted my painting yesterday, it was so late in the day, I just decided to wait till next Fri. Yvonne couldn't come out because their older dog is sick and can't be left alone. We still don't have snow! Well, a dusting in Redmond when we were there, and the kids got a little more. But, nothing here at the house!
ReplyDeletebrrr....i agree that it is pretty but i stay inside, too.
