Memo - It's Black Bird Day

The big bill of this toucan is not to my liking but then he didn't ask me so it doesn't matter. Guess he can scoop up a ton of food at a time. He is rather striking, though, with the yellow bill to offset the black of his body.

Here's some rather nondescript blackbirds. I don't take many pictures of them because everybody sees blackbirds of one type or another.

I'm joining in Saturday Critters and Camera Critters. Won't you join us?

  3. We have plenty of black birds here. I have trouble knowing if they are crows, grackles, blackbirds or whatever.
But now a Toucan! A different black bird for sure!
    Have a great weekend!

  5. We do not have birds like that here in New England. We do get plenty of crows though.

  6. My foster brother had a pet crow that rode around on his shoulder (and pooped down his back but I won't mention that)...lol They are quite interesting birds.
Have a great Sunday- xo Diana

  7. I don't know what that first one is but it is beautiful, somewhat like our hornbill. However, i don't like the crows, they are plenty here too and already pests for men.
