1. I always had a mess of these boxes on my cabinet shelf until I saw this. It's just a file folder. Because of the configuration of my shelves, though, I laid mine down flat and slid the boxes in. Works like a charm.
2.There's nothing I hated any worse than when mailing tape (or scotch) got stuck back on the roll. It would take FOREVER to unstick, if you could. Sometimes the tape peels off in little ragged pieces. Look how easy this is... a toothpick, for gosh sakes, solves that problem.
3. Now, why did I not think of this tip? And, I bet it would work on other surfaces as well.
4. The last time I traveled I did more 'unraveling' of chains, earrings tangled up in chains, etc. than was necessary. I am about to take another trip and I have straws to the ready!! No more tangled chains.
5. I haven't tried this one but if it works... Wow.

Great household tips!
ReplyDeleteI used to work in a library, and we used those plastic boxes (tip #1) to store back issues of magazines! Why I didn't think of using them to organize my wraps and foils, I don't know.
Thanks!
Have a wonderful day!
Oh this was worth reading for the toothpick tip alone! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! The toothpick idea is genius! Loved the lampshade cleaner. I've used a mixture of peroxide and soda on stains...this is a great idea as well! Sorry I was so late getting linked in tp Willy Nilly!
ReplyDeleteGood ideas!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these ideas …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Since I joined Pinterest, my favorite posts are cleaning hacks - today I used my lint roller to clean my window screens - AWESOME! Thanks for the tip on using straws for necklaces - that's a good one!!! I have had the devil of a time un-linking earrings and necklaces!!! My current cleaning favorite is CLR - a miracle with lime scale on glass shower doors, the inside of our washing machine - even our metal railings that get doused with the sprinklers!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tips!
ReplyDeleteGreat tips!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips, Latane. For the package tape, I usually just bend over a piece on the end, but then have to cut that piece off when using it. I liked the stain removal tip and wonder if you could pre-mix the ingredients and keep them in a small spray bottle.
