Slowing Down

I have been blogging for over 10 years.

Yes, I know, some folks have been at it a lot longer. But, as I age I am slowing down. Sitting at the computer for long periods of time is getting harder for me to do.

I've made a lot of friends on Blogger. Some have already gone on to greener pastures or taken up Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc. I love the friends that I have made. I don't want to lose them.

I bet you are thinking.... oh geez, she's calling it quits.

Well, NO. I don't want to give up totally but I will be cutting back a lot. You won't see me on here as often.

I do hope that you will continue to check on me from time to time.

And, leave a comment so I will know you visited.

I'll close with this photo made of me nearly 5 years ago - when I was 80!

  3. Yes, do stop by when you feel like it! That’s how I blog these days myself. That’s a wonderful photo of you!

  4. DON'T you dare completely disappear from Blogland, please Latane! It's people like you who make me realize I too can keep going - traveling, taking photos, writing posts. I will admit I too am feeling my age - and still have ten years to catch up to your age. Lately things seem much harder to get done, especially when it requires arm and shoulder strength - even typing hurts! Anyway, let's do what we can - stop by and keep in touch now and then, even if it's not daily, or even weekly.
I always love your posts and you are an inspiration my dear.
Stay well, have a lovely holiday season - see you for sure in the New Year, if not before!
    Hugs - Mary XX

  7. Keep on keepin' on in whatever way you are comfortable. I always look to my 92yr old aunt for inspiration for growing old gracefully. Recognizing what pace to maintain keeps her going. She just told me last week that she wasn't going to bake cookies this year but then decided a few for the church carolers that always come her way would still be nice. Love her.

  8. Will miss your posts and will check back often. But I have realized it's really true that to everything there is a season and we must honor that! Love and good wishes.

  12. Of course I am right there with you...having to devote more time to writing and other things, and just not getting out to take many photos, plus feeling more "worn out" these days, I am doing the same. But we will all check on each other from time to time. Can't lose those special connections!

  13. You deserve a blog break for however long you want, Latane, because it is "work" in a sense. I always enjoy reading your posts and so admire your willingness to try new experiences, so hope that you will do some occasional posts but nothing "wrong" with not posting daily or being able to read other blogs daily. I too am finding that hard to do with other things going on now. Like you, I so enjoy the blog friends we've come to "know" and even have met a few and hopefully may met others in the future. I do not use any other form of social media and wonder how in the world people find the time as there's so many other things to do. I hope that your 🎄holidays 🎅 are filled with timeless memories and lots of joy and love and wish you a very Happy New Year too.
