I was on a recent trip to Nebraska visiting the son and daughter-in-law. We drove over to Fremont, a cute little town just northwest of Omaha where there are several antique shops and other good places to spend time and money. Look what I found!!!
I love dishes!! This sugar and creamer is such a pretty blue and cream color with handpainted roses.
The mark on the bottom looked like this..........
Moritz Zdekauer
Austria
Moritz Zdekauer bought the existing factory in 1884 and sold it in 1914. I thought for sure I had found an approximate date for my sugar and creamer until I discovered that the subsequent owners continued using the MZ mark. But, I think what I bought is from around 1900.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! What a beautiful and delicate set. It's always fun to find a set that has remained intact all these years. I love the pink and blue colors too. Blessings, Victoria Lynn
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty set. I love vintage china too, I would have snapped that precious set up in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment and following. I always follow back but blogger is having issues with the follow button. I'll keep checking back and when I can I will follow you. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find, Mom!
ReplyDeleteStopped at your new blog and tried to comment but it told me I did not have access to that blog. I am still using the older bluelotustile address for my Blogger account. Could that be why? I haven't had any problems anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteThird time's the charm--I can't comment on your quilting blog, either!!!! Could you change the access to them to be like this one???
