Driving up a mountain on a curvy, narrow road, peering at tree tops on one side as we hug the road hoping we don't fall off and land in the top of said trees. Finally at the top of Carter Mountain there is the huge orchard.... apple trees as far as the eye can see, peaches, rows and rows of grape vines... this is neat!!
And, the shop!! Looks like a barn to me, even painted red.
And, boxes and boxes of apples stacked everywhere....
and pumpkins
and gourds and cider and yummy apple cider doughnuts!! The aroma was heavenly. Little great-grandson Dylan had a ball. He is just 8 months old, dressed in his little overalls, ready to pick apples with the rest of us.
Four generations out having a bunch of fun on a beautiful fall day. You just can't have it any better than that.
As soon as the car started!! He'd had fun all day and was worn out.
Now, THAT'S a fun day! Beautiful pictures, as usual!!!
ReplyDeleteI bet those fresh apples are so crunchy and good!!!
ReplyDeleteSure looks like a fun outing......
Beautiful family and such a sweet little boy!
Hope you have a good weekend!
Wonderful day! Wow, and that shot of the barn with the apple tree in the foreground looks like a post card! Great job, Mom! Aww....that little guy looks so adorable with the pumpkins, and then crashing in his carseat when it was all over! I know you all had fun...so glad you were able to go!
ReplyDeleteHi Latane, the photo of your great grandson sitting with the pumpkins is gorgeous! Another great family day out and with 4 generations too.
ReplyDeleteI am jealous, it looks so beautiful. We are having a little break in the hot weather and I am enjoying that, but, that view is out of this world. Your grandson is so cute. Enjoy your weekend.
