The Christmas Store

You ask.... what the heck is Latane posting about Christmas for, here in March and Easter just around the corner? You know me, I can do the oddest things sometimes. But, I went into the Christmas Store looking for something for my sunroom table .... for Easter, folks. Easter.

Yep, this shop is amazing. Found near the corner of Main and Church in Smithfield, Virginia and owned by the nicest gentleman, Jim Abicht. I got so busy looking at all the lovely things I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the shop!! But, here are some of the friends I met that day (and some other things as well)

I've met this lady before and she just cracks me up everytime I see her. You've seen her on this blog before, too....
Imagine my surprise at finding her sporting a pair of bunny ears. That ole gal is having some fun.

Along with the Easter things, there was plenty of Christmas all around... trees, ornaments, villages and of course, Santas. Doesn't this St. Nicholas look real, like he's trudging through snow with a pack on his back carrying gifts for the good little boys and girls?

Wouldn't these be beautiful in a beach decor room? Or any room, for that matter. Yep, that store covers every decor just about in every season.

Or this one?  Perhaps I need to decorate one of my rooms in a beach theme so I could purchase all of these. They are so pretty!

I really need to think about going back and buying this. It would look gorgeous on my dining room table.

These peonies (I think that's what they are) looked so real I bent down to take a sniff. You know how fragrant Peonies are. But, alas, no scent, just beautiful, beautiful flowers.

I wish I knew I could bring this fellow home with me but he's probably 9 or 10 ft. tall. Can you imagine me waking up in the middle of the night and running into this giraffe in my sunroom. Oh My. Lions and Tigers and Bears....and Giraffes.

Oh, I said I went in for Easter decorations, now didn't I? I do get sidetracked at times. So, back to the subject at hand. This bunny caught my eye. He's so cute!

But, this is the one that went home with me...

So, if you are ever in Smithfield please stop by and see all the goodies at the Christmas Store. You will be glad you did.

I bet you found your choice decors.

There are so many things to do in SD, two days is not enough. Sigh.
