Tarboro, North Carolina, a drive down a residential street and there is this amazing brick fence. I just knew I had to share it with you all.
A fence where the breeze can blow through!
fanciful design, sharp corners
It goes on and on.... forever!
Up close look at the brick laying
With that unusual and delightful fence around the front yard, just look at what is in the back!
A plain wooden fence... and no breeze is blowing through that!!
a well designed wall
ReplyDeleteoh, i LOVE that cool fence! really looks nice!
ReplyDeleteLooks strong but fragil...wonder what would happen if just one block was pulled away!! Nice pics and welcome to FF
ReplyDeletethat type of fence really messes with your eyes. ha. ha!! so decorative. (:
ReplyDeleteA lot of work went into that fence. It's very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to visit me.
Simple yet very effective!
ReplyDeleteI like that fence.
ReplyDeleteNeat fence! That gives me an idea as to what I COULD do with all those left-over brick we have!!!
ReplyDeleteThat brick fence is so creative!! As for the wooden fence in the back, I guess you can't have everything...
ReplyDeletethe fence that is brick is strong looking anyway....I favor the picket fences for sure...not that there are that many around here.
ReplyDeleteOh that is an unusual fence I like it and yes the wooden one in the back seems to take away from it. B
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! I've never seen a brick fence.
ReplyDeleteTarboro is a neat place and I love your pictures of that unique fence. Thanks for your nice comment.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a fence like the first one, great pics. Thanks so much for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting fence, looks like a lot of work to build it...sorta like lattice work.
ReplyDeleteJust think of the amount of work that went into that brick fence. So pretty! They might want to rethink that back fence, though.
ReplyDeleteNow that's odd. For this part of the country looks like equal effort would be placed on allowing the cooling breezes to flow through. Maybe privacy was a greater issue? The front fence is really balanced and pleasing in its design and your photos helped us see it from many directions.
ReplyDeleteWow! VERY interesting, Mom! I've never seen one like that. It sure saves on the number of bricks one would need, doesn't it!? :-) And it's lovely at the same time.
ReplyDeleteVery unique. Love when people have original designs in there yards.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they have one of those junk pile neighbors and want to block it out.
