Rusty Tin Roofs

I hate seeing barns all broken down and unkempt. Unfortunately that happens all too often. Today for Barn Charm I have a mosaic of barns that have seen their best days.

  1. I hate to see them falling down, too, but still I'm fascinated with old barns! Many of them are disappearing but they are charming, even if they are vine covered and falling down.

  5. Beautiful mosaic! So many of the old barns have already disappeared, but I'm glad to see all the photos documenting their existence. They played a huge role in the development of our country.

  7. Hi Latane, It is sad to see the dilapadated condition of old barns....it speaks of a generation past. And what a shame. Oh if they could only talk....or if perhaps....people kept diaries. I'm a good one to talk....I never write in a diary. Hope I spelled that right...I'm so groggy today...might be allergies. Its been great to have warmer weather here today though. Glad you found those two vases....I thought you might post about them....=)

  9. Really nice Barn Charm post, Mom! Yep, I'm taking a small blog break...but not from commenting. Just needed to take a few blogs at a sitting to look at though. I have a lot of catching up to do and it should take me several days.

  10. Great mosaic. Lovely photos. That one in the lower left hand corner looks very similar to a barn in my own area.

Thanks for visiting my blog this week. :-)

  11. What a nice mosaic of old broken down barns. They've all seen better days, but I wonder what stories they could tell. Very charming!

  13. I agree! I always imagined barns as lively and comfortable space, just like the barn that my grandparents had. It is sad to see that there are barns like this that has been ignored through the years. I think the only good part is the rusty tin roof always creates a dramatic and picture-perfect scenery that was good for holiday cards. :-)
