Roosters

I am really at the end of my creative rope, it seems. Nothing of much value in my picture archive. Haven't taken a trip lately. Nothing blooming. Is that pretty much like it is at your house, too? I surely hope not.

So, what shall I share with you today? How about roosters? I have two of my own and two of my sisters. They aren't real, mind you. That way I don't have to feed them. Those are the best kind I am thinking!!

A white one sits in my sister's kitchen.

I like the colors on this one. And, the sunflower he must be pecking on.

This one sits next to my stove watching me cook.

This fellow is quite a dandy rooster. I love his black tail feathers!

If you have rooster, real or unreal, I'd like to hear about them.

  6. I like your roosters. I remember my grandma had a huge ceramic rooster that hung on her kitchen wall. Wish I had it.

  8. I don't have a rooster, but my dad had them when I was quite young. He had four, each in its own pen, and they had a special diet. It was years later when I realized they were his gamecocks.

  9. Latane, there should never be concern about what to post a blog about, as you do just fine with sharing bits of your life, home, interests, etc. Sometimes, these types of posts are the most interesting to fellow bloggers. Thanks for showing off your roosters and i agree about not having to feed them being a very good ting!

  10. Good morning, Mom! As you know I have one rooster, that composite material white one with the broken tail feathers (so he was discounted) that we bought that day we were out together. He reminds me of George. Aunt Lois's white one reminds me of him too! :-)

  11. Latane, I don't have a rooster, but plan on painting a picture of one. (smile) Grandpa had a rooster on his WV farm. I was afraid of him.

btw... I agree with Ms. Boyd. You share bits of your life (scatter bits of joy as I see it)and that's what I love about your blog.

    Hugs... Gammy Tammy
