Have you? What has it been like at your place?
It's been one snow after another here in Wakefield. And, cold... my word. Spring is just 2 weeks away and the temp was in the single digits last night.
Sunday was lovely. Leslie and I sat out in the swing without even a sweater on, just enjoying the warm sunshine. My daffodils were shining like little golden nuggets in the flower bed.
And, then yesterday (Monday) a winter storm hit. Sleet and then snow. Poor little flowers.
It has been very changeable weather for us. Sunday was definitely a spring tease.
ReplyDeleteMy jonquils haven't bloomed yet; perhaps they won't get zapped by a snowfall once they do!
Winter is wearing on everyone's nerves, I think. Do stay warm!
ReplyDeleteSame here my pansies are buried under 3 or 4 ins of ice and snow.
ReplyDeleteSomeone said mother nature was killing us.
We had ice then 4-6 inches of snow. At least you got a view of daffodils before the storm. Mine have just started to poke through the ground. It will be a long time before I see any blooms.
ReplyDeletePoor flowers. It's going to be a long time before we see flowers blooming here. It's been a long winter.
ReplyDeleteJust covered in snow here. Everyone is so tired of it. I really can take the snow but the temps have been frigid. That is what gets to me. No daffys popping through here yet!
ReplyDeleteOh dear my garden is still covered with at least two feet of snow it seems like winter is longer for sure. B
ReplyDeleteWe had silimar weather, Latane...nice on Sunday and then the VA eastern shore had freezing rain, sleet and snow on Monday. Our daffodils have budded, but not bloomed yet and a good thing they have not.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't been warm enough for flowers yet! I'm envious that you've had at least a little beauty!
ReplyDeleteAwww....poor daffodil! Glad you at least had a warm Sunday. We saw on the news that Va. was getting more snow! :-( Hey, check out my quilt blog to see the Sierra Vista show.
ReplyDeleteSame here!
