It was early morning when John and Shirley picked me up... the sun was just rising as I waited outside The Commons for them to come.
There were over 40 of us on the bus as it headed north...
It was still a bit foggy as we approached the Chesapeake Bay-Bridge Tunnel. There were boats out in the bay.
Then, nothing but flat farm land and lots of corn fields. The Eastern Shore used to be the main supplier of vegetables for the U. S. until the importing from other countries began. I didn't take a picture of the corn fields. They all look pretty much the same.
I was amazed at how pretty the hotel was... and the staff was so helpful and friendly.
and how big the casino was!! Every bit of that building is casino, all the way back to that street you see in the background. You know it, too, when you start walking through each room looking for your partner-in-crime or your favorite slot.
NasCar racing is done on the track there.
Shirley and I had a wonderful dinner at Doc MaGrogans.
We had a great time and came away without losing any money. Didn't win much but that's okay. Mother/Daughter time was what was special.
Sounds like a wonderful day together.
