Latane, that peanut picking machine is so interesting. I had no idea there was such a thing! I wonder if we could grow them in Pa. next summer? My husband had an Uncle who grew his own peanuts....come to think of it. I eat them and they are fun things with their papery shells and yuminess.
Great Rubbish Tuesday post, Mom! I have always enjoyed seeing that old peanut picker. It's perfect for the meme. Did you notice Amy has a new barn meme? It is open on Mondays, if you missed out this week. Also Anni is going to do a new fall home decorations meme for just two months for everyone to showcase their fall decorations. Love your header, by the way!
I'd love to see it in action...bet it is better than digging them by hand! Or pulling them up...or whatever you do. My brother and I raised a few one time when we were kids and I think we pulled them up by hand and then dug around to see if any were left. But that was in sandy soil.
Perfect Rubbish! I've never seen a peanut picking machine before. It looks very complicated! I love it! Thanks for sharing. Oh, and your header is beautiful.
wow! that's neat!

ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice day.
I have seen peanuts growing, but never saw them being harvested. I am sure this old fellow served some farmer well.
