Christmas Cards

I was thinking about sitting down and addressing my Christmas cards. I said 'thinking'. I used to religiously tackle that chore right after Thanksgiving but now, my body is slower, my 'get up and go' has got up and went. It's a  chore for sure. How many to send out? Who to send them to? What design do I want on my card this year? Or do I just chuck the whole idea. Well, maybe not.

I guess I will send out a few. That way I can let my closest friends and family know I am still around and that I wish them a Merry Christmas. Besides, many do not know I've moved. Good way to tell them about that.

Okay, I've convinced myself... The first week of December my cards WILL BE MAILED.

Now, what kind do I chose?

                                                          There's the religious scene.....

The cutesy kind. Who doesn't love kittens?

One for my country cousins

The wintery wonderland

And of course, the humorous one I'll send to Crazy Uncle Charley

I might chose this one for my daughter and her family in Arizona

And, this one for my daughter who makes tons of gingerbread houses for her customers at Christmas

or I could drag out all those card making supplies I've been setting aside for such an occasion.

Nah...........too much work......

But, here's one for all my blogging friends.........

  1. With a wedding in the family at the end of the month, I tackled Christmas cards really early this year. They are in the mail. Well the ones to people coming to the wedding. For those not doing I made a photo card that I'll send out right after the wedding announcing the new son-in-law addition and for those who hadn't heard the new granddaughter born last February. Good thing to have that task checked off. Too many others yet to go!

  2. Cute post! I have been wondering if you had resolved your computer problem...I've looked for comments on the last three of my posts and finally had a comment on the most recent one, this morning. So here I am checking out your blog and see all seems to be well. Hope so! :-) I know what you mean about cards. I feel really overwhelmed AGAIN by Christmas, like I'm just not going to be ready, and again I think it has a lot to do with the weather, but also being so far away from the rest of the family. :-( I'm anxious to get an email from you, but may write you before I do because there's a lot to share....

  3. We should have started last summer if we were going to make them! LOL There are so many from which to choose. I like the one with the snowman. Merry Christmas!

  4. Love this post! Cute stuff! I bought Christmas cards yesterday and had to go to three stores to find some that carried the 'real' Christmas message of God sending Jesus to live among us
