1. I am doing this post because I am putting off heading to Walmart this morning. I do so hate Walmart but sometimes you just have to go places you don't want to go.
2. Today is a busy day at The Commons. A taco lunch provided by staff, an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. and a movie tonight at 7. We certainly don't get bored around here!!
3. I just finished reading the best book I have read in ages. It's "The Forgotten Seamstress" by Liz Turnow. Pulls you in and turns you around on just about every page. I love a book like that. And, Liz Turnow is a wonderful storyteller.
4. The trees are really beautiful this time of year. All pretty and blossomed out. But, I know I am a weirdo.... I love dead trees. They have character!
5. I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Blessed Easter.
Happy Easter, have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLatane - so glad you liked the Forgotten Seamstress. Happy Easter to you. Enjoy your Friday activities.
ReplyDeleteLatane,
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of Wally World either.
I'll hav to take a closer look at the book. I'm always looking for a good read. I am reading The Night Circus by Erin Morganstren.
I hope you have a blessed Easter weekend.
I'm always interested in hearing what everyone is reading. Don't remember when I was last at WalMart. Tacos, Easter Eggs, and a movie. Sounds good to me! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you, too! Guess I'm weird along with you, 'cause I like to photograph dead or bare-branched trees. That's when you can see the interesting pattern of their growth. We all have to go to Walmart, sooner or later. That's where you can get more everything you need, and more!
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds really good - I am going to look for it at the library.
ReplyDeleteNothing is blooming yet in Brussels. Spring is on strike !
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you !
You are having a fun-filled Good Friday! Love that the book was a good one...can't wait to read the review on our book club. I know you waited because there's another new review there. You mentioned what the movie was in your email (which I will answer soon) and you are going to really enjoy it! I actually did a little "organizing" yesterday. Woo-hoo!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe trees are dying so slowly and after this we can see them yet for a long time... - I like that too.
ReplyDeleteHave added the book to my amazon wishlist (I cannot buy it now). Thanks for the tip.
Happy Easter :-)
I hate going to WalMart too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book. I'll make a note to check to see if our library has it. - Currently I'm reading, The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks, it's pretty good. They just made a movie out of it that is to be released next week.
I like "dead" trees too but right now I'm so enjoying all the flowering trees here in town.
Happy Easter to your family too.
Before I forget --let me say that I LOVE your header. Gorgeous.... Walmart is OUR store. Here in Crossville, TN --there aren't many other choices if you want good deals.... Oh Well....
ReplyDeleteYour new home provides all kinds of things for people to do. That is SO neat....
Did you see the tree I put on my latest blog post in the fog???? I love trees like that also without leaves --whether they are dead --or if it is WINTER....
Have a blessed Easter.
Hugs,
Betsy
I admit that I also love dead trees!
ReplyDeleteI like the dead trees, too. Gotta tell you, that I found something we LOVE at WallyWorld....its their bakery's Italian bread. So tasty, especially when toasted. Happy Easter, Latane.
