Willy Nilly Friday

I did the Thursday Thirteen yesterday and you can't imagine how tempted I was to link that post to Willy Nilly Friday and tell you to just read the first five. But, how mean would that be!! I mean, it spells LAZY in capital letters. So, here are my Willy Nilly five.

1. I'm doing laundry today. Yuck. But, I don't hate doing laundry as bad as I hate ironing!! Which I seldom do anymore.

2. I am finding that drinking a chocolate or strawberry nutrition drink is so much easier than having to fix breakfast for one person. Don't you think!!

3. I bought the first batch of strawberries yesterday. Hmmmm. What shall I do with them? I could cover them with sugar and milk. Or I could make a Strawberry Pizza. Have you ever had Strawberry Pizza? They are so good!!

4. I have been capturing snapshots off some of my old movies and videos. There was a time when the thing to do was make movies so I really missed having some still shots of places I've been or the kids when they were small. Now I can have them. True, not as good quality but still... Here is one of those
This is my daughter Marie watching her brother Michael do air guitar at his 40th birthday party. The video is pretty funny!!

5. I am excited about tomorrow. Les and I are going to our first farmer's market of the season. Can't wait to see what we can find.

In case you are interested....
here is the recipe for the Strawberry Pizza

  5. The mention of the strawberries (and you of course in Virginia) made me think of the wedding, of course, and how you all went to pick strawberries the day before we got married. Wow, Mom, that was 46 years ago! I can hardly believe this much of our lives are water under the bridge....so many memories! Love the photo of me with Michael. So glad you are doing that with the movies! Thanks for the strawberry pizza recipe...it's so good, and of course, is a good memory too! I may already have it, but just in case, was happy to see it. Great Friday Five!

  6. My daughter used to make strawberry pizza and it was wonderful. Haven't had it in a long time. She lives too far away and works long hours so I doubt she ever makes it now.

I'm with you on the old home movies, I miss them.

  8. I enjoyed reading these. Thanks for the recipe, that looks delicious. Great idea about getting the stills from your old movies. The one of your son and daughter must bring back a lot of good memories.

  9. I don't enjoy ironing either. Strawberry pizza sounds wonderful! I'm going to cheat and use crescent rolls. That should work! Enjoy the Farmer's Market tomorrow.

  10. Hi there, Just stopping by to say “Happy Mother’s Day” to you. I’m sure you are having a fabulous day. I celebrated yesterday when one of my sons and his beautiful wife came to see us….

As you probably know, we’ve been out-of-town this past week and I haven’t done any blogging much at all. I hope you enjoyed my two Tulip blog posts while we were gone——and be sure and tune in tomorrow morning to find out what we’ve been doing this past week….

Enjoyed your post today. That pizza looks yummy.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
