Five on Friday

In keeping with Tanya's Willy Nilly Friday Five I have five things to share with you today. I am also linking with Five On Friday

Boy, I could post a lot more but will wait and do that at another time. It's just been a trying week (all related to the sale of my home) but more on that later....

1. Patience pays off. Just ask me!!! I have been waiting and waiting to catch the doe down at the pond getting a drink of water.. and ta da... it happened this evening. I am so excited. I just love her reflection in the water!

2. I can't wait to get my new camera! It should be here in just a few days and you guys had better watch out.... My present Cannon SX 20 IS has a 20 Optical Zoom. My new camera is also a Cannon SX and has a 40 zoom. More close-ups.

3. I am looking forward to a short trip to Edenton, North Carolina the first of next week. We will be celebrating Leslie's 85th birthday. I promise lots of pictures to share with all of you.

4. The Quilt Bee that I have attended for 6 years, celebrated it's 6th anniversary today with a luncheon and the usual activities we always have, show and tell, etc. It was a fun time for all of us and man, was the food outstanding. And, by the first sentence you can tell that I was one of the 16 people present at that first meeting.

5. The sale of my house is taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R. It's a 95 %  done deal but either my lawyer or the buyers real estate agent is constantly coming up with some snag or another. I will be so glad when the closing date gets here. That is July 8th... You all keep your fingers crossed... toes too if you want to.

Have a wonderful weekend. Love you all bunches.

  11. Love the wonderful doe shot! Oh, a new camera! That will be wonderful, Mom. ....So, headed to NC to celebrate Leslie's birthday. That should be a very special time. I can't wait to see the photos! I am hoping and praying that house sale goes more smoothly! It will all be over soon!

I read your comment on piece-fulness. Glad you liked the quilt so much! I didn't get the binding tacked down so I could take photos until AFTER Quilt Bee, that's why I didn't send a shot by phone. I miss that bunch! Paulette and GayNell and I don't really know anyone at Quilt Guild, just recognize certain people, and will occasionally have a short conversation with someone. I miss the closeness and camaraderie of our Bee group!
