Sunday morning chit-chat

I leave tomorrow for a visit with my daughter in New York. So, this morning as I struggled out of bed I decided something.... no meds tonight.  The Neurotin the doc has me on just knocks me out for 10-12 hours and then I get up feeling disoriented and loopy. Since I'll have to leave the apartment driving my car up to my 'other' daughters in the morning before 7 o'clock, I am thinking I best skip those pills tonight. I know, I should take them. But, then I don't want to drive still out of it. Having shingles isn't fun but I can handle it. And, I aim to have a bunch of fun on my trip regardless.

Went to a granddaughter's 30th birthday party yesterday. Gee how in the world did she get to be 30 when it was just yesterday that I saw her sweet, chubby little cheeks for the first time? No way.

Granddaughter and her two brothers.

If you want a book to read that you CAN NOT put down, read "Me Before You". I just posted a review of it on MY BOOK REVIEW BLOG  . A sequel comes out Sept. 29th and I can't wait.

This post is beginning to feel like a 'five on friday' post but I just had a lot on my mind this morning, no one subject that was the most important to share with you.

Have you gotten the idea that I am in love with my camera. It's a Cannon SX 520 HS.  Love it, love it, love it. The zoom capability is much stronger than my old camera and it's lighter weight. Over the past few years my love of photography has grown and grown. I can't wait to see what I can find to photograph in New York.

And, so, tomorrow I take wing... (not really, we are driving) and I will be absent from posting on my blogs for a week, at least. I'll be back soon with lots of pictures and tales to share with you.

                                                                                                       Until then

  8. Hello!! I have house guests of the 3 year old variety and am up in the wee hours of the morning having some ME time. I just happened to click on my blog 'followers' and found YOU! I do not have a millon followers and prefer to get to know the ones with whom I am sharing my life with! While I am new and don't fully understand your situation - you will have my prayers as you make this drive to your daughter. I am going to search for a 'follow' button so we are BOTH connected!

  12. I love Jojo Moyes but haven't read this one. Will look for it. I'm so sorry you've had a case of shingles, my husband had it once and was in a lot of pain. I hope it's better now.
