First of all, just let me say how thankful I am that we were missed by the tornadoes racing through Virginia Wednesday. And, so sad that a town I am familiar with (and used to live near) was badly hit. Three died in that town.
Second....Did you know that 350 million pictures are uploaded to Facebook every single day? I get information like that through a trivia email thingy. I just wonder how many pictures are uploaded to Blogger every day? I do my share. hehe.
Third....I hate it when I have a day I don't feel well. But, I feel so blessed to be in a position that I can just go to bed until I feel better. A lot of people don't have that option.
I did another pastel the other day. It was ok, not good. But, practice makes perfect they say.
I couldn't resist taking a picture, through a window, of this cardinal sitting on a crepe myrtle branch. I'll be glad when I can get back out on my balcony!! But, brrr.... it's cold out there.

Hope you feel better this morning. Nice window shot of the cardinal. They always take good photos.
ReplyDeleteSuch sad news to hear of the tornadoes hitting. Loved the shot of the cardinal, a great photo.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are ok and safe, nice photo of the cardinalxx
ReplyDeleteLike you dear, we were SO thankful our area stayed mostly safe despite the terrible storms. I was quite terrified by the winds and 4 tornadoes did touch down in the Raleigh area.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to those towns and country places where there was loss of life, injury and damage.
Stay well - and keep painting, you're good Latane, and a great inspiration to those of us who are in our 'golden years', haha!
Great cardinal shot - we have dozens this Winter so hopefully lots of babies come Springtime.
Hugs - Mary
Glad you're ok, your painting is much better than any I could do and the cardinal is lovely
ReplyDeleteThe weather was scary, we missed most of the really bad stuff, just wind mainly. I like your pastel very much.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cardinal! And I love the pastel! Yes, we were so stunned to hear about Waverly being hit so hard and the loss of life. I am thankful everyone we know came through the storms OK.
ReplyDeleteThats a really good picture of the cardinal!! Especially through a window??!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the cardinal - we don't get them over here in Scotland so its lovely to see such a bright bird!

Sorry to hear about the tornados, very sad. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the Physalis alkekengi!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to read about the devastation from the tornado. They come out of nowhere, seemingly.
ReplyDeleteYour pastel is pretty - I like the shades you used.
Such devastation - and it always feels worse when it's a place you know. Hope it's warming up soon for you over there, we've had glimpses of sun which have been most welcome.
