This and That

I haven't told you all about our wonderful Valentine dinner. The staff treated us to a spaghetti dinner complete with salad, garlic bread and wine. I love it when they cook for us!!! After dinner was over they gave all us ladies a rose. After a wonderful surprise gift from my sweetie, I'd say I had a super duper Valentine's Day.

We have Bingo here twice a month. Well, last night I won two games. My luck was hot last night.

After being cooped up with all the bad weather, my daughter took her grandson (he's five) and me to the beach for an overnighter. Too cold to play in the sand but the heated pool and hot tub is a big draw! And, my great-grandson really enjoyed the large aquariums.

On our way down we passed a field of snow geese. I see Canadian geese all the time but never snow geese. Naturally I had to get some pictures. Here's a few

Kitty Hawk and Nags Head (which run together) have statues of the wild horses that frequent the beach. They are beautiful, painted and true to life in their shape and form. But, one store had this "horse?" out front. We got a huge kick out of seeing it.

  1. It's ALL fun and it made me smile all the way through! You have such a vivid, lovely life, with all the activities and generations, and I'm so happy to read of it. Between you and Miss Patsy and Mr. The Bennie, I'm beginning to think Chris and I ought to be looking into some of the wonderful retirement communities around here.

    Stay warm!

    1. It's certainly better than sitting alone in a house way too big for you. Go for it.

  9. Sounds like a wonderful Valentine's dinner.
I would like looking at the aquariums too.
Snow Geese occasionally fly through our area but not that often so it's neat that you were able to see them.
That is a fun horse figure.

  14. Sounds like you had a great Valentine's Day being wined and dined! Lucky you to win at Bingo! What a lucky grandson to be taken for a fun overnighter with two grandmas :) I'll bet he liked the swimming pool over the hot tub though. I would love to see a field full of snow geese. We only see the Canada geese here too (but maybe I should be more observant during migration times).
