Mercy me, it's Friday and time for Willy Nilly Friday. Just let me get started. It's been quite a week.
1. A week ago yesterday I had a tooth pulled. I hate going to the dentist and this was no picnic. To begin with I don't take to anesthesia well at all, takes me forever to wake up and sometimes it makes me sick. But, a week later I am just about back to normal. Hot Dog!
2. The day after my tooth came out, my fellow Leslie was admitted to the hospital and I didn't even feel up to visiting. He's still there, poor thing. But, I am happy to say, he's improving.
3. Did I ever tell you about the fox I saw late one evening just across the road from my apartment? I think that stinker got the goose eggs. We will be having no little goslings running around.
4. We had some excitement at the apartment complex tonight. Two police cars out back parked next to a pink bicycle. Noone around but finally the police left with the bicycle. It's amazing how many stories a person can come up with to fit that scenerio.
5. This picture was taken by my daughter who lives in New York. I love peonies and I never could get them to grow for me. Folks say they need colder climate than Alabama had to offer. But, aren't they just gorgeous?
yes, the flowers ARE gorgeous . . . the pink bicycle story caught my imagination . . . the fox coloring surprised me . . . happy week to you!
ReplyDeletei am so happy to hear both you and leslie are doing better! beautiful peonies...i see them around here...neat to see the fox but hate to hear that he got the eggs :( funny about the police and pink bicycle! thanks for linking latane and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are feeling better after the dentist and hopefully Lesley will be on the mend too.
ReplyDelete...flowers are interesting, we often want what we can't have, instead of being happy with what we have.
ReplyDeleteLatane, I had something concerning nature happen just yesterday. I looked out the kitchen window in time to see a deer with what looked like a dachshund following her. Closer observation revealed a really, really tiny fawn, not a dog. It must have been a newborn. I felt privileged to see such a little thing beginning life.
ReplyDeleteThe peonies are gorgeous. I grew them in New Mexico, but not here on the Gulf Coast. Shame on the fox! Hope you and Leslie are recovered. Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. How strange about the pink bike...I would be putting on my CSI hat and getting the low-down on that. HA Glad you are feeling better, and have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI decided just a couple of days ago that I have to have some peonies. The hard part about having ANY flowers is of course, caging them up like prisoners to keep the deer from eating them! But I think I want to be able to see them from my kitchen window. I am having to go really slowly because working outside is so hard on me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny situation with that bicycle! :-) Glad you are back to normal. Praying for Leslie.
Lovely flowers and the fox is adorable. So glad your mouth is better :)
