Michael has chosen 'tied up' as the theme this week at Scribble Picnic. All I could think of that was 'tied up' was a boat. Maybe it was because I was packing up for a trip to visit my son. He loves sailing, hence the boat idea. It definately was on my mind.
Hi Latane, I love that! Reminds me of summer!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you used, so serene and quiet. great take on the theme.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
I love what you did here Latane!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice one...I like the mists on the water...the boat takes center stage that way.
ReplyDeleteSo simple, but so elegant. I love watercolor and this is so well done. Happy sailing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a sunrise sailing against that sky. Hope you have a great visit with your son.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, almost like a dream.
ReplyDeleteSweet take on our theme.
It's a beautiful painting and works great. The theme was "tie it up" but this works jsut as well. I love the soft pink hues and such. Looks so serene. Great job, Latane! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI've posted my colour version now btw and will be changing out the themes either tonight or tomorrow, so stay tuned! :)
I really love this painting...it grows on you every time you look at it! Really nice!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful take for the theme, Latane! Enjoy the visit with your son. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteStunning.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who lives near water will appreciate this picture and even a reflection in the water. Just beautiful and peaceful, Latane ...

There is a beautiful serenity to this. The stillness of the water and the shadow of the boat along with the pinkish tint to the sky - ahhhhhhhh!
ReplyDeleteLove your boat illustration Latane. Wondering now how many beautiful boats could be destroyed when Irma comes to our coast. Such a frightening time and I send prayers to all in Florida who appear to be in the main path of the hurricane, and even as far north as here!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting very nervous to say the least.
Stay safe - your loved ones too.
I like the simplicity of this!
ReplyDeleteLove the softness in this image. wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteYour boat, which I find a bit tricky to draw, turned out great! So peaceful.

This is lovely! What a wonderful boat and a great idea for tied up. What a great idea. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's the first thing I thought of too. However our boat is in our driveway and I couldn't see how we would have tied it up at the dock. And couldn't find the right picture. So changed my mind.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you drew this.
Blessings
