Bellingrath Gardens

I am so blog post challenged this morning. I know you all are tired of looking at my random five Friday things and I just couldn't come up with anything to post today. Then on my It's A New Day, A New Life blog Sandy commented on my latest post (a snippet from chapter 2 of the book I am writing) and she said I should check out Memory Monday.

Well, Memories are such a precious commodity and so I decided I'd join in. Perhaps you would like to as well. It's at
so click Memory Monday
The memory I am featuring this morning is
A Trip To Bellingrath Gardens in Mobile, Alabama
This trip happened in the 1970s when my husband was in that area attending a conference. I remember the flowers were unbelievable beautiful and I wasn't even there during the azalea blossom time.
I hope your day is filled with wonderful memories,

  1. The gardens must have been gorgous! I am often 'blog challenged' but love it all anyway. There's something about being able to post and see it in front of you. LIke Martha Stewart says....'its a good thing' Enjoy your beautiful day Latane....and thank you for the nice comment about my tatting. You know how it don't do something for a couple of years or so...and all of a sudden, find yourself happily enjoying it once again. Amazing....

  2. What a wonderful memory. I know you went on many trips with Elbert here and there. The flowers must have been gorgeous.

  3. Aren't you glad we live in an era where pictures are not only a possibility, but affordable? I know I am!! Especially since my memory is what it is now....I can't remember things that happened last week without my blog!

You look beautiful standing there in front of that elegant home and those wonderful flowers!

  4. I have been there and would like to go back. Beautiful!

  5. What a great photo. Looks like the gardens were a great place to visit.

  6. WOW, fabulous memory, would love to visit there. It looks awesome.

    Thanks for joining in.

  7. I haven't been there in many years, but I remember it being beautiful there. I also remember taking my shoes off and walking barefoot part of the time. The house was interesting, too! Nice memory!

  8. My late parents visited there many years ago and I treasure the photos from such a pretty place.

    Wishing you a good day.

  9. Just want to say I really have enjoyed cruising your blogsite, Latane. I came over here from your visit at Sandy's Memory Monday. You have such talents in decorating and camera skills, and I can't wait to see what you post next. I'm your newest fan. Can't wait to see your coming postings. ---Karen

  10. Memories Monday...sounds like a great meme! Loved the shot you shared. I'll have to participate some too...I still have murals I haven't posted on Mural Mondays that I also need to do! :-(

I hope you will visit often and leave a comment when you do. My blogging friends always put a smile on my face.
